Had an amazing evening was looked after all evening 100% recommend, staff was very approachable and nothing was ever too much. if your looking for a chilled evening or a fun evening this is the place to go

We stayed here for the Bridgewater carnival for 2 nights and had a great time.
Gaynor the landlady and her staff were all lovely people really friendly... and helpful. The locals lovely too. We had a great laugh with them all and can highly recommend this pub. We had read the reviews before and yes ok rooms are tired but bed was really comfortable so had great nights sleep. Gaynor you're lovely and thanku fir making our stay so fun and for the bacon n sausage butties !! xx

last minute overnight business stay, clean double room, bit nosy but most pubs are but at £32 for the night a bargain. parking opposite and whilst it doesnt do food there is an amazing Indian a few doors down.

Booked to stay the night a couple of hours before we arrived no problem. Landlords were very friendly. Wasn't able to get parking space but there are plenty of side streets that we didn't have a problem in parking for the night.
Room was basic (we only paid £35 for the night so didn't expect anything else) but beds were nice and clean and so was the bathroom, had a good night sleep. Also had use of private door to exit and enter so you didn't have to walk through the pub which was nice. Would stay again

We booked the Kings Head for 1 night to see the Carnival in Bridgwater as we had left it late to book, after reading the reviews we weren’t expecting too much, but I’d have to say it was a superb ending to a thoroughly enjoyable day, the regulars and the barmen was brilliant, we couldn’t have had a better day, thank you Gaynor, Liam Dave Keith 👍

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the Kings Head in Cannington Somerset now on two occasions and found both times very enjoyable. It is a traditional pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere and the staff are polite and very accommodating. Given the current high demand for accommodation in the area the kings head offers excellent rates. I would not hesitate to return to the kings head when I’m in the area again and would highly recommend friends or work colleagues to stay there

Firstly, I must give my thanks to Reception staff, Christina and Angela, who were super efficient in helping me achieve my aim, also the waitresses who were efficient, accommodating and very friendly.  Next I cannot praise enough the management - Shana, (such a professional)  who pulled out all stops to make the event run smoothly.

Upon arrival we were directed into a cosy candle lit, white tabled clothed dining room, setting the scene for our special event. Everyone remarked on how impressed they were with not only the setting but also the attentive and friendly atmosphere which prevailed.  They said that they enjoyed their choice of meal and several also remarked that they would certainly bear the Kings Head in mind should they wish to host a special event.

90th Birthday lunch

Stopped by for a quick pint one sunny Saturday evening.

Was surprised to be welcomed by a yappy little dog, running for my ankles. So I avoided her and ventured to the bar.

I had to ask who worked there as the young bar lady was sat with a bunch of blokes. Obviously had no interest in doing her job and felt like I was a massive inconvenience. 

Decided to go for a nice pint of haze however, it did not turn out to be. The glass was utter utter filth. Looked like someone’s lipstick residue from weeks ago was still on there. Black bits floating in my pint wasn’t appealing either. I did ask the young lady nicely if she could please swap my glass as it was so dirty. Which also seemed like a massive inconvenience to her. I was given a slightly more clean glass, but had to swap the contents between glasses as she went to sit back down with her blokes.

Pub wasn’t very clean. The tables all looked like they haven’t been cleaned for months.

I feel like this pub has so much potential it’s a shame to see it in this state as heard many good reviews from years ago. Im surprised it’s gone this way.

Worse Hotel I have ever been in, run down holes in the wall bar staff rude, hotel rooms, disguising, even the died would hate this, I will be added to the bad hotel guy on facebook to warn people not to got into this pub

crap pub

One star is overly generous by a long long way. I'm 67 and this pub achieved a first for me. I've never had to walk out after only one sip of my pint! If you enjoy drinking vinegar in rough surroundings then fine but it's not for me. Truly truly awful
