Do not trust this hotel at all as they never stick to their own words. Very poor management.They say something but act differently. Not happy at all about my conversation and agreement with the manager.
Disappointing

Not trustable

Not a bad room and sleep but was informed about what type of breakfast was available and I wouldn’t have stayed because I thought it was a cooked breakfast and was disappointed that it wasn’t available

Very shabby, basic. Room door had a large gap around it. Very very noisy throughout the night, I felt very unsafe.

The hotel was clean, tidy and comfortable. The heating was was on full throughout our stay. The breakfast spread was really goof with fresh fruits, selection of cereals, bread and spreads. My only issue was with my room on the road noise could be heard from the main road and the beds next to window meant there was a draft coming in. But I'm a light sleeper so maybe fine for others. The service was good and house keeping was exceptionally clean!

Great value and location!

We reached the property little late in the evening and the staff at the hotel was not sure of we were coming inspite of it says on the reservation that the booking is confirmed and no need to call the property for further confirmation. At last upon request the staff called the owner and they decided for us to have another location to stay which was little far and later we were told that the location is very unsafe and be careful. Although the hotel was good but we were asked to stay in 2 separate room which was little inconvenient. Staff at the hotel did took our care and we were happy with it.

First impression of the hotel from the outside was that the hotel looked really nice. A really smart, tidy looking hotel from the exterior. I was initially quite looking forwards to staying here. Once we entered the front door of the hotel this is where it started to go downhill.  
We paid £68 for an overnight stay with breakfast for two adults and one child. 
We went to check in and as we were paying we were told that we were eating in the next room. When we looked in the next room there were dust sheets everywhere and the decorators were busy in that room decorating. This was a concern but we just assumed it would be fine by the morning. We were shown to our room which was on the opposite side of the road in a separate building which was different but not necessarily bad. 
First impressions of the room were that it was a massive let down. There was mould on the bed, on some of the walls , around the windows and in the shower, rust on the the bathroom fittings, cigarettes burns all over the bathroom (though there were no smoking signs in the room), torn curtains in the bathroom and a strong smell of cannabis in the room.  
During the night there were a lot of people coming and going through our part of the hotel and though this wasn't the hotels fault the noise of the door slamming and the people arguing in the corridor seemed to echo and be amplified though the hotel. My partner had very little sleep during the because of the noise that night.
The morning came and the one thing that could have saved my opinion of the hotel was  really nice breakfast. I was expecting to see things like bacon, sausages, beans and fried eggs. We walked into the room  and the first thing that we noticed was that the dining room still smelt really badly from the decorating the previous day. We were told to help ourselves to the buffet. We got to the buffet table and was greeted to cereal, toast and jam, babybels, some fruit and boiled eggs. If I had known that this was the breakfast before I booked the hotel i would have chosen to eat elsewhere. 
My overall thoughts of the hotel were that once I entered the front door of the hotel, non of my expectations about this hotel were anywhere near met and I will not stay here again.

Excellent value comfortable and friendly

Cheap & cheerful is probably the best description. Staff were uniformly excellent. Basic single room ideal for an unfussy person.

I have been staying at the Prince Hotel for many months now and used to book all the time through booking.com however the owner told me to book direct through him as it would be more convenient and sometimes cheaper.

I want to warn other potential paying guests inform that The Prince Hotel located in Birmingham; should not be advertised as a ‘Hotel’ for the following reasons...

- The ‘Hotel’ is a ‘live in home’ for people and families that are waiting to get housed by the council/housing association.

- As a paying customer who comes to Birmingham to work at the weekends I have been kept awake day and night by crying children and noisy people that are staying there (who are not paying customers might I add!)

- I complained about this on a number of occasions and especially after one of the mothers had the cheek to have a go at me for asking her to keep the noise of her child down; whilst I was trying to sleep! And I was told that if I didn’t like it maybe I should find somewhere else to stay!

This ‘Hotel’ is more like a live in crèche/home to people that don’t work create noise and upset to paying guests like myself!

I have also noted the last maybe two months I have stayed here I seem to be the only paying guest that does stay here. Every room in the place is full with these people on council waiting lists.

I certainly won’t be staying again and I will be leaving reviews to let other potential guests not to stay here as I think it’s disgusting the way they have been, showing such disregard to a regular paying guest like myself.

Warning to future paying guests

Poor impression, dirty, tatty entrance ,sitting room and breakfast area.Left and stayed elsewhere
