We were looking for somewhere to relax and take time away from working from home. We search the Internet and trip advisor and found the Glandwr Mill. I can not stress how amazing this place is, how well you are treated and the warm welcome that awaits. Feel recharged and ready to face the challenging the next few months may bring. Thank you for a wonderful stay and wishing you the best for the future. 


A special place

Visited here with my husband for a few days away. The location of the mill is just a few miles away from the centre. Met by Elaine and Neil who are the perfect consummate hosts. Elaine bought us the most amazing warm homemade lemon drizzle cake and hot drinks to enjoy out on the patio with stunning views of the gorgeous gardens. We stayed in the Moss room which had fabulous views of the estuary.  Room was large and comfy.  The bathroom is great and had a bath big enough to swim in.  
Breakfast was beautiful and nothing was too much trouble for either Elaine and Neil who were always on hand to help. 
On their reccondation we went to a few local visitor hotspots.  
The gardens were gorgeous with a babbling brook running through it..  All in all we had a great time and left relaxed. 
We will definitely visit again.

Wow wow wow

We booked Gladwr Mill online as we were looking for a weekend mini-break to see the annual Barmouth Bonfire and Firework display - we are familiar with the area and knew that it was perfectly located, just 2 miles away from the hustle of the town centre.

I cannot express how beautiful this luxury B&B is.  The setting is simply perfect and we were treated like royalty by our hosts Elaine and Neil from start to finish.  We stated in room 'Moss' which is huge and has everything you could ever wish for, including a super kingsize bed, an en-suite with a bath big enough to swim as well as a huge separate shower and beautiful views across the gardens and the estuary beyond.  

Each morning we were treated to a perfectly cooked breakfast as well as fresh fruit, cereal, fresh juice, coffee.... the choices just go on and on.

Glandwr Mill is highly recommended by us and we are hoping to return in the very near future.

Stunning mini-break

We booked Glandwr Mill whilst browsing online, as we planned to go to Barmouth for a long weekend.  Photographs never do justice to how lovely the setting is.  A wow factor when you pull off the main road then drive over the stream which runs past the B&B.  On arrival we were greeted by  Elaine, the owner.  She showed us around the B&B and then we had tea and homemade lemon drizzle cake in the Lounge, and took in the amazing view over the estuary in front of us.  Our room was on the top floor, which was very comfortable and also had the beautiful view over the Estuary.  We had a small ensuite shower room, however it was ideal for us.  Tea/Coffee making facilities were available, a mini fridge, and a fresh bottle of water supplied every day.   Breakfast is very substantial and will set you up for the day ahead.  I was catered for very well being Gluten intolerant.  Elaine is an amazing cook, and the food was lovely and hot and unlimited toast and preserves.  I loved the jam so much that I bought a jar before I left.  It's made locally, I think by one of the neighbours.  The B&B was so comfortable, very clean, and so quiet apart from the soothing water sounds from the stream, which aided a deep sleep.  We will definitely return.  Barmouth holds such wonderful memories for us, particularly as I spent my childhood summer holidays there every year.

A hidden gem overlooking Mawddach Estuary

This is a lovey B&B in a delightful setting, very comfortable and a good breakfast, hosts very amenable and nothing was too much trouble, was offered tea and cake on arrival,   good restaurants in Barmouth town a short drive away..

Excellent Stay

From the moment that we arrived until leaving, three days later, we had an excellent stay.  Lovely coffee and lemon homemade lemon drizzle cake on arrival.  Elaine and Neil have an idyllic spot, surrounded by trees.  The accommodation was excellent.  As was the breakfast.  We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.  We would recommend Glandwr Mill, if you seek a peaceful and enjoyable visit.

Excellent stay

We found Glandwr mill online and booked the same way.
On arrival you are just wowed by the setting. The spectacular streamed valley, stunning gardens, magnificent tall trees and flowering bushes, crystal clear mountain waters and the stunning house.

We were met by the owners on arrival, shown to our room and fed tea and home made cake in the garden - excellent.

We had the top room of the third floor, clearly very recently decorated, very clean and tidy. The bedroom was large enough, had a couple of chairs to sit in as well, small TV, micro-fridge with fresh milk and water. The bathroom was superb. Huge bath and lovely big separate shower cubicle and fluffy towels and toiletries. We even had surprise chocolates each evening left in our room.

The lounge is available for guests and the dining room on the lower floor is also lovely. Breakfast was massive, well presented, piping hot and so very tasty. I had my favourite of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Preceded by fresh fruit and a variety of cereals. Lots of toast and some lovely local preserves.

The gardens are the true majesty of this location. The stream which used to power the mill still runs strong, though the mill wheel is no more. You could sit in any part of the gardens as all was available to guests and you can lose many an hour in these beautiful and peaceful surroundings. There were many benches and places to sit and listen to the babbling water and the twitter of many birds.

This really is a small hidden gem and a definite great place to stay.

Beautiful B&B set in a spectacular streamed valley

The location is stunning and the photo's dont do the place justice. Relaxing, clean, and beautiful scenery. Elaine and Neil are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Loved the personal touches of fresh flowers in the bathroom and the coffee and homemade cake on arrival. Cant wait to visit again. Thank you Elaine and Neil.

Most relaxing break to date

Saw this property whilst watching a TV program and booked it that day, so glad we did. Spent a couple of days here with my wife and must say it is a lovely property, beautifully decorated with amazing gardens, the hosts and owners were friendly and helpful regarding places to visit and places to eat. The full Welsh breakfast was wonderful and of course there is also a choice of Cereals, fresh fruit, etc. Also a warm welcome awaits you with a hot drink and homemade cake. We would definitely stay there again and also recommend to family and friends. Thank you Elaine for a fantastic time at your beautiful house.

2 Day stay at Glandwr Mill

Chose to have a last minute trip away and having visited Barmouth previously booked the Mill based on feedback and property rating. We were not dissapointed what a beautiful place well appointed and with a very warm welcome. The room was a delight with everything that you could need as well as a brilliant bathroom with natty remotes to control the shower and bath. Breakfast was top drawer too full cooked with quality produce a nice touch was the locally made jams. Elaine and husband were wonderful hosts and very understanding when we had to cut our trip short. We will absolutely be looking to stay with them again.
