SINA is a welcoming community of young scholars and entrepreneurs, they offer accommodation in  sustainable housing in the SINA Village. A great destination to experience Uganda from the inside.

My stay at SINA village was an absolute delight. Nestled in serene surroundings, it offered relaxation and is the perfect place for sunrise and sunset lovers! The views are amazing. 
Next to the village there is the social innovation academy, with a lot of young people. The innovative and positive spirit from the scholars, compared with the welcoming staff and peaceful ambience at SINA village made for a truly unique experience.

Our little cottage hut was more than a room. Built with local materials and inspired design, it offered a cozy night’s rest. Breakfast wasn't a rigid affair; it was served when we needed it to match our busy schedule. Each bite was a celebration of fresh, local ingredients, prepared with love by the village's talented cooks.

We took an hour on a guided village tour which I highly recommend. A passionate resident thrilled us through every nook and cranny, unveiling the inspiration behind each design, the challenges overcome, and the dreams taking root. 

Every detail whispers a story of innovation and community. This isn't a corporate venture; it's owned and run by young Ugandan entrepreneurs, pouring their dreams and sweat into each handcrafted cottage. We loved every bit of it and can’t wait to return!

Immersed in Ugandan Spirit: A Two-Night SINA Village Retreat

I had SINA Village as my base while travelling around in Uganda. It was a safe and inspireing place to call home in the two and a half months i was travelling in Uganda.

You can't beat the hospitality and openness of the people running SINA and their student residents. 

The best base 

Waohhhh this place is really a change makers space -i like the spirit among the youth supporting one another ,its on a hill and there is an environment for a great piece of mind.

Amazing experience

I had a really incredible time at SINA. The people are super nice, open-hearted and inspiring. It's worth spending time with the community and getting to know SINA better. But also, if you just want to relax, the beautiful campus is just the right place. For example, you can just lay down in a hammock with a beautiful view. The small houses are also very nice and clean and you can find all the basics you need. 

Incredible place

We loved our experience at SINA village and found the accommodation to be very good value for money - especially since they included dinner and breakfast in the cost. Sharon was extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. The accommodation is lovely with a nice balcony and unique creative touches in the room. They were building outside when we stayed but it looks promising… it was a shame that we didn’t find out much about the projects happening at SINA, but from an accommodation perspective, it exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful and unique accommodation

In a small town called Mpigi lives the Social Innovation Academy (SINA) where youth are empowered to transform their thinking - to view challenges as opportunities. A social entrepreneurship training model is used to equip youth with tools, resources, and mentorship to uplift their communities out of poverty. 

My stay here was nothing short of amazing. The thing I loved most was getting to meet the youth in the SINA program and brainstorming their ideas with them. Such an incredible, smart, group of leaders that all inspired me. 

SINA is located on the top of a mountain surrounded by grassy hills and fields. The experience is not one to pass up! Thank you SINA for your hospitality!

A true Uganda experience

We spent 1 week in Sina and we had a great time there. The huts are really nice and comfortably. We also learned a lot about the Social Innovation Academy (SINA) and the projects they are doing. The people who live and work there gave us a warm welcome and there is a great lunch together every day. 
The village is very close to Mpigi and you can get to Kampala quickly and easily.

A great place to learn about life in Uganda

My friend and I spent a weekend at the SINA Village -- we stayed in a cozy hut made entirely out of recycled plastic bottles! Nearby was a new one under construction, which was very cool to see. The views are breathtaking. Try to arrive by day and ask for a tour of the grounds, where you will learn all about the SINA methodology and way of life. I would highly recommend also taking a visit to the SINA museum if you want to be inspired by social innovation!
