We booked this apartment as our previous booking fell through and we were so glad we did!
We stayed in 102 which is the furthest apartment away from the road and right next to the pool. The location of the apartments is perfect as it’s a few minutes walk to 2 supermarkets and a little further to the start of the bars and restaurants. 
The apartment had been recently refurbished and it had everything we needed - particularly as we were staying for six weeks. Full oven, hob, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher were all included. 
There was plenty of crockery and cutlery and anything else we asked for eg a toaster was quickly provided. 
The shower room was fully tiled with plenty of storage under the sink and there was never a shortage of hot water. 
The bedroom was perfectly comfortable with an adequate wardrobe and bedside storage. 
And there was a table and chairs outside on a patio area. 
It was perfect for us and we will book to return next year.

Perfect location

Stayed here in the ground floor apartment  was  well equipped spotless and spacious  and very quiet   maid in every day with fresh towels  we were self catering  but we're given a free breakfast every day at their hotel across the road   ate a few timesat night in the hotel restaurant  and the food and service was fantastic  family who own this hotel were so friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the studios which were very spacious everything provided as in washing up liquid sponge etc fab place family who run it can't do enough for u & they have a beautiful & friendly dog breakfast was excellent on the roof top with views to die for we will definitely be back

FANTASTIC HOLIDAY

we have stayed a number of times and very happy with it very clean local and quiet going back there in September 22 and price is very good the family who run it are very friendly and helpful we also stayed in the studio apartments which are beautiful

Having just returned from a 14 day holiday at kelebek studios I would like to thank all the family and staff for another excellent holiday during these difficult times for all of us also to the residents of kalkan a big thank you for making everyone feel safe and welcome

Great holiday

We just returned from a week at the Kelebeck hotel it was amazing. The family run hotel is perfect for a relaxing holiday the hosts are so friendly they cant do enough for you .The service and food are second to none we will definitely return next year

We travelled very late Aug 2020 for 11 nights. Let me please just say I never write a bad review but after mulling it over I need to say something as post travelling we are still extremely disappointed by the experience we had. 

I'll start with the positives, as there are a lot positives to this hotel. 

We were lucky enough to have a room at the front overlooking Kalkan which was wonderful but not all rooms have this.... beds and pillows comfortable and the room was fairly clean. We had clean towels every other day and bedding I think every 3 or 4 days which was nice. There was 2 bottles of water in the fridge for our arrival which was very welcome after the long taxi ride from Dalaman airport. 

The view at breakfast is also spectacular and so are the staff at breakfast. Initially we found all the staff to be taking COVID-19 restrictions seriously, we had our temperature tested on arrival and there was lots of hand-gel stations around the hotel. Breakfast was typical Turkish style which was fine for us and the staff at breakfast really were lovely. 

The hotel wasn’t too far out of town and we walked to and from town every night, a taxi back if you don’t fancy walking up the hill after an evening is only 25TL. 

Now for the bad. The first is halfway through our stay, we got awoken at 3am by what sounded like the bar that was closed for the night had reopened… and behold, it had been. From 3am to 5am the music was turned back on and there was a very loud drunk couple drinking with one of the owners sons. I’m all for everyone having a good time but at the expense of other guests, perhaps the music should had been turned off and the guests to be told they could keep the night going if they kept the noise down. Luckily this was a isolated incident. 

Now sadly the main issue that has upset us. The older gentleman, the owner, unfortunately turned out not be as friendly as he initially seemed to be. As it became apparent that we weren't going to partake in any of his BBQ or Lamb Shank nights that he organises and once the last event had been and gone, he went out of his way to ignore us whenever we passed him in the lobby. This in general started to make us feel very, very unwelcome. One morning we greeted him and asked how he was to which he just replied “morning” with a rude tone of voice and no eye contact.

This attitude continued thought out our last 5 days. We suspected the ‘frosty’ attitude was because we didn't partake in any of his organised activities (or not eating lunch/dinner in the hotel or buying drinks other than water for our room) so we searched Trip Advisor reviews and low and behold, other people have experienced the same attitude towards them from him when they are not spending money in the hotel. The reply from the owners seems to be he can’t believe people would want to eat out in the evening, I’m sure the food is lovely (and other guests have said it is) but simply we just love to go out in the evening and spend time to ourselves. 

I understand it's his business but as travellers to Kalkan we came to visit Kalkan, there are over 140 restaurants and over 50 bars to try out and when it comes to picking our hotel we only want somewhere to sleep and to have breakfast, which is why we booked a B&B. And for the day time we love visiting beaches/beach clubs etc. We did not mean to cause any offence by not spending our days and nights in the hotel and I'm sure the food in the hotel is lovely but we both work hard at home and the thing we enjoy the most is getting out and visiting different places whilst on holiday. Ultimately, that’s what we go on holiday for is to get out and about. 

The second from last day we approached the owner to pay our room bill, he seemed full of a cold and was coughing. Concerned with the current COVID situation we asked him if he was ok and his reply was 'I hope so' - no mask on him at all. "£40 for the air conditioning and x lira for your waters..." said in a sarcastic tone.

The biggest insult to us was on the last day. When I was bringing my case down the stairs the staircase handrail came away as I was walking down the stairs, I very nearly went down the stairs head first. I brought this to the owners attention who's face insinuated that I had broken it (other guests confirmed that it was loose the night before). This made our departure an even bitter finish to our trip to Kalkan. Even other guests had pointed out he was very unfriendly towards us! We were chatting to other guests by the pool area as we were waiting for our taxi to pick us up for the airport and when we collected our suitcases the owner did not even acknowledge us or even say goodbye. He looked at us, sat up out of his chair and walked off into the kitchen. Again, this was also picked up by other guests who we had been chatty with and they couldn’t believe how he was acting towards us. Initially we had tried to let things go over our heads but after the check out experience we felt really disappointed with the way we had been treated and felt quite alienated. 

For anyone thinking of visiting the Hotel Kelebek, I'm not saying don't go. If eating and drinking in the hotel some nights is your style then I'm sure you would have a great holiday. If you are like us and love going out expect a bit of a frosty attitude from the owner who will be annoyed that you are not spending all your money in his hotel.

Overall, sadly, at no fault of the other staff apart from the owner, we would have to rate this 2/5 (and that’s at a push) purely for the way we were made to feel, as it has overridden the positives for us which is a massive shame as everybody else at the hotel really was lovely.
