Fidanka Hotel

This hotel is quite simply beautiful. If you want corporate, bland 5 star this is not the place for you. Fidanka is like staying in a fairy tale tree house. A paradise of beautiful flowers and plant life everywhere you look. The hotel is so quirky, with antique’s collected by the family, all around you. With only 20 rooms you get a personal service from the staff who are the most helpful and friendly we have ever encountered. Particular shout out to Gulfiz and Selini, the super efficient hosts, who answer every whatsapp request in minutes, whether its a recommendation, table booking or taxi request and super smiley, friendly nature. Also to our best mate ‘Super Ozzy’ behind the bar, one of our party lost an iphone in a taxi, Ozzy located it and had it delivered back to us in under 30 mins! All the lads were great and work so hard. Stayed for 10 days in June (2 x couples). In Deluxe suites, fantastic balcony with beautiful sea views comfy whicker chairs and a lovely double sofa. Loads of room in the suite and a handy small fridge, tea & coffee/kettle & water provided, free room safe, slippers & bathrobes. Shower gel, shampoo & conditioner provided, in the bathroom which was a little small but again full of character with antique sink and taps. Would have preferred more clothes hanging space but not a big issue. Towels changed daily (pool towels always available around pool we took ours on trips no problems). Main pool is beautiful with loungers for 10 guests. Couple of days they got full, but most days some guests go to beach clubs or on boat trips so normally sufficient. If full, the smaller pool at rear of hotel had a santorini feel to it, still nice, set in rear garden, quieter with more loungers but no panoramic view like the main pool. Taxi into Kalkan 220tl (about £4) not really walkable in the heat. Small supermarket about 20 yards from hotel. The staff will advise about discounts at most of the beach clubs. We liked Mahal best, but Lures and Zest also fantastic. If you seek tranquility, beautiful surroundings and second to none customer service, highly recommend this hotel, I hope to return some time soon.
