Everywhere in the hotel you will find information about it past and how it became the 'classic' of the Istanbul. There are pictures hanged on the walls which show parties that were thrown here in the past - they look really nice. However, at this time the hotel is literally empty. We were there as it's close to the airport and our airliner booked it due to the cancelled flight. And it seems, that beside us, it was like 20 guest in the entire hotel it total (you can tell by the keys which are at the receptions in the boxes). The food was like 2/10 (both breakfast and lunch), the room in which I was located in (nr 59, be aware!) was TERRIBLY HOT, even the air con was at full speed (it's the most corner room, exposed to the direct sunlight with big windows. You cannot sleep there due to the temperature. What's more, the situation is even worse in the bathroom... 

When it comes to the pros - it's the staff. They are great, and they all top level - each of them was english speaking, helpful and very professional. I just love to interact with them, you absolutely feel that this is a 5* staff! Big plus for them! 

WI-Fi almost not existing in our corner room.

Another plus is the location - just at the seaside, and close to the airport. You may think about it when having a layover in the Ataturk Airport, but be sure to check whether your room has a good air-con, or else you will end up as fried eggs :)
