1 reviewI was lucky enough to stay here for 5 nights and immediately felt much at home. Marcel, Jim and Mickey are absolutely lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. Jim was a very informative tour guide and I learnt a lot, but my highlight was the cooking classes. We would go to the market to buy the necessary ingredients and then in the afternoon cook the dinner. I now feel very confident if I can find the ingredients needed when I return home that I will be able to make the same meals again. If you enjoy cooking, you will definitely enjoy time learning from Jim. Marcel has an amazing garden which is worth wandering around. I was sorry to leave as I felt like I had known this delightful family for much longer than a few days. If I am ever lucky enough to return to Chiang Mai the Golden Teak is definitely where I will be staying without hesitation. Although it is a little way out in the country, it is very easy to arrange for transport to visit Chiang Mai. I am sure your stay here will be one of the highlights of your holiday.
