Fantastic
3213 reviewsThe La Petite Salil Sukhumvit 11 is located in the so-called party zone of Bangkok's Sukhumvit district. What you will find after exiting the hotel will be an amazing night scene where you can have a wide variety of great food, great music, and, of course, great booze. The hotel is located on soi 11, about a good 6-8 minute walk from the Nana BTS station. Taking a car might not be a better idea because for the 3 days we were there, traffic (especially at night) is horrendously bad. The hotel itself is a quaint little place, and, as you see by its name, the whole place is made to feel a bit like you are staying in a house somewhere in a part of France. On arrival, we were met by a team of cheerful front desk officers, and a very friendly doorman, who helped us with our luggage. The check-in process was swift. Our assigned rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Bear in mind though, space is quite a premium, so once you open that luggage, don't complain. I also like the fact that the flooring is parquet, instead of carpet. Makes the place a lot more hygienic. There is a bathtub, but do remember, once you stand up to shower, there's not much room between your head and the ceiling. Our booking came with breakfast at the hotel's in house Mexican-themed restaurant, Molina. You can order a main item (tacos, burritos or the typical ham and eggs) and supplement it with bread and fresh fruits. The breakfast is basic, but its enough to fuel you up for the start of the day. Oh yes, we need to mention that the restaurant staff were very good. For both days of our stay, our server was this young lady with a ponytail, and she made sure our food came hot from the kitchen and when we were done, quickly cleared our empty dishes. Such good serving staff is hard to find these days. Overall, we had an enjoyable two-night stay at this hotel. We liked the buzz of the area, although once it came time to sleep, we wished the noise level would go down a little. At the price point, there isn't much to complain about. Note : This property has a 'sister' at soi 8, which is completely away from this one. And, the soi 8 hotel is located deep into the lane, and as far as buzz is concerned, offers a complete contrast to soi 11. Just hope you don't confuse it when you make a booking.
