The staff were very friendly, the location convenient and the rooms clean and comfortable. We are already planning to stay again as we come back from our tour of the island. The breakfast was delicious, fresh and filling.

The only problem I found was that we had to share the bathroom. All the rest is correct. The location is very good and the breakfast was plenty and nice.

We had perfect holidays at this heaven fabulous service with continously great emotional from the staff especially Mr Mohammed  for his hospitality and kindness, it was exciting to decide to join here,
Jambo has weird services containing a lot of smiling from the staff such as heaven, gorgeous and spacious hotel location and cleaness is super standard, I recommend Jambo Guest House is the place for relaxing and enjoyble,

Me and my student we had topped service, rooms are comfy and cozy made us felt like we are home,  let me throw my arrow to restaurant there has great view and foods is delicious and tasty, sea food, Swahili dishes super Whaoooo 👌 👍 😍

SCHOOL TOUR 

We had a lovely stay here and even extended our time. It's a good budget option and the shared showers are only shared between a few rooms, so this was never an issue.

Great value!

My partner and I stayed here for three nights. The air conditioning in the room was unexpected to us but greatly appreciated! The beds were large and comfortable. There is a bathroom which is shared with the neighbouring room. Breakfast was served in the downstairs each morning. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was only a short walk to anything we wanted or needed.

Affordable hotel

Reading the reviews before i booked i was quite excited to stay here but when we arrived we saw straight away how run down and unkept it looked. We stayed in room 3 which had a clanky fan, an old air con unit and holes in the mosquito nets. No windows added to a very dingy dark room. The communal shower was ok as was the breakfast but glad we only stayed the one night.

Great economical and safe place

Very reasonably priced hostel in this town full of expensive hotels.  Airport pickup is needed & available; & is a bonus for this hostel.  Manager was very friendly & helpful.  Breakfast was included & bottled water was available on request.  Credit Cards were also accepted.  They have WIFI.  A bit hard to find; but that is the fun of all of Stonetown.

Very Accommodating Manager

Everything is fine. Clean and comfy. The wifi works. Location is great *near by lookoman that is great place for eating. The stuff is nice and helpful (although Tanznians keep serious faces)... And I love the breakfast :) 

Value for the price 

Pros: Very good location in the center of Stone Town with walkable distance to everything. We just turned up at the door without booking. No problem with the staff, we could even negotiate the price of the room. Also very polite when serving breakfast. They have free wi-fi in the rooms, fan and AC. The beds have a mosquito net around it. Bathrooms had hot water. Breakfast is included with coffee/tea, juice, bread with butter or jam, fruit and eggs (fried/scrambled/omelet). You can buy big bottles of water from the reception for 1000 tzs each.                      
   
Cons: The standard price of 40$ per night is a bit too much for a sometimes noisy room with shared bathroom, a shower with very low pressure and it's very difficult to control the temperature. The bug nets also had small holes (some we managed to fix but that's not our job) and we killed 2 mosquitos that had quite a lot of blood in them. So we recommend negotiating the price.
