Paradise Beach Resort

I was in Paradise Beach Hotel in September 2023 with my boyfriend and we are more than satisfied. We didn't have high expectations, so we were really suprised how amazing experience we had. Rooms: quite big, air conditioning works good (and it was already on when we arrived - small thing makes big difference). Rooms are not luxurious but quite good standard and clean. Room service every day plus one more time in afternoon comes again to spray against mosquitoes. Internet works good in room and outside by the pool, restaurant and on the beach. Restaurants: this was the best part of our experience in this hotel. Very big choice of food, big variety, everyone will find something for them. We wanted to try everything but it's impossible because it's such a big choice. We liked almost everything we tried, including traditional food which is big suprise because my boyfriend is very picky and conservative in this matter. Surrounding: beautiful, big and green area. For us Europeans it was amazing to see so many new kinds of plants and animals. We were happy and excited like children to see monkeys freely running in gardens or bat feeding on banana tree. For some people beach could be disappointing. We knew before booking about big sea tides which makes beaches full of seaweed so for us it didn't matter. But if someone looking for clean, wide, white beach and clear water like on Instagram pictures, it gonna be disappointing. This is just nature, maybe not Instagram friendly but for us still great to walk and check out all of life appearing on beach. Trips: we went for 2 trips in one week. One we bought from beach boys- dolphins, sea turtle sanctuary plus snorkling. It was good organised and safe and i recommend those people but not this trip. Chasing dolphins to make few pictures felt just not right, it looked almost like hunting. "Sanctuary" looked terrible, overfed turtles in dirty water and other animals kept in not good conditions. Of course they say that all of them were "rescued" from wild but i don't believe it. It's terrible that they give every animal to hold hundreds of people per day. The best part of this trip was beautiful sand benk and snorkling. This experience was amazing, if i would know what i know now i would go only for snorkling. Beautiful clear water, big variety of colourful fish, i could spend hours in water. Another trip we tok from hotel spa and it was safari in Selous. This was the best experience in my life, beyond expectations. It's not cheap but it's totally worth it. Giraffes, wildbeast, baboons everywhere, many elephants, hippos, hyenas, zebras, impalas, buffalo and even lion. Big possibility to see 3 of big 5 of Africa , no chance for rhino and leopard. National Park is huge (one of the biggest in Africa) and i would go for at least 2 days next time. Last thing I would like to share is my impression of local people. Amazing, super friendly and open. After our experience from other countries we were sceptical, because often it feels like tourists are just stupid ATM and locals nagg and scam. Here was completely different. People were friendly, asking about our day and didn't try to sell anything. Even people which have something to sell are not imposing so much as in other countries I travelled. I can recommend this hotel. Not overcrowded, nice, safe, beautiful. Best vacation so far ❤️💚
