Arabian Nights Hotel

Apologies for the extremely late review my fellow travellers! All i can say is good things about this hostel. As I can compare it to other places in Zanzibar, I can be completely fair in saying the customer service, the room cleanliness, the location and extra amenities were all above standard. Let us keep in mind this is a hostel type stay, and I was positively surprised, as was my brother at the extra attention to detail provided by the excellent staff here. I must say they manager, Mr.Masoud was exceptional and really made us feel at home. We did have a minor issue, myself to blame as it turns out, but this man handled it beyond professionally and I will not forget this. While I must say, I wouldn't normally stay in a hostel type accommodation, the one we had, sea facing was so clean and spacious, I would actually return again this year. Food - I did not eat here or try the breakfast. I woke by lunch time and tried other beach front restaurants close by. All were very nice. However, my brother who loves food did go every day and said it was a simple and bland breakfast and coffee not so good. But he didn't complain! Cost - we went during high time aka. Christmas, yet was very affordable. Location - Was great by my observation. Everything was close by and you can't beat that incredible turquoise sea view with a sea facing room. Wifi service - was only available in the lounge area and was basically shut down after a certain time. Not so good when your trying to skype your family across the world at Christmas but in reality, was an excellent detox from the "real world". Customer Service - friendly, helpful and kind staff. Willing to go the extra mile. Giving a nice tip does help along the way as well :) Overall, I believe if I were to come to Paje again, which had better beaches than Nungwi, I would take the same sea facing room and most defiantly stay at this place.
