We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sudu Araliya! The reception staff, especially Hansika, were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. The hotel offers a stunning view of Parakrama Samudraya Lake, and the surrounding nature creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, making it the perfect getaway.

Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout our stay, ensuring every aspect of our experience was seamless and enjoyable. The entire hotel staff demonstrated outstanding hospitality, making us feel warmly welcomed and well cared for. A special mention goes to the culinary team, whose delicious and thoughtfully prepared food delighted our taste buds, and the events team, whose meticulous planning and execution made every function truly amazing. Staff including GM and all the managers went out of the way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. 

Laundry man-Nishantha is very efficient and helpful

Restaurant, bar staff extremely friendly and provide professional individualised care.

Thushara restaurant supervisor is very efficient and nice

Bar attendant is extremely good.

Food & beverage Manager very helpful, service is good, food quality good, place is very nice. Clean, friendly. Comfortable. Room is clean, swimming pool is very clean, nice to enjoy when you are tired. Very relaxing & good.evenning sunsets is very beautiful.

Very beautiful environment. Looking at the lake from the room feels amazing freedom. I have also been to sudu araliya nuwaraeliya hotel. Compared to that, the food is very tasty. The environment is very fresh. The staff is very friendly...!

We had a wonderful stay at Sudu Araliya Hotel in Polonnaruwa! The location was perfect for exploring the ancient city, with beautiful views of the Parakrama Samudraya. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, offering a great respite after a day of sightseeing. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Dining at the hotel was a delight, featuring a variety of both local and international dishes that were absolutely delicious. We especially enjoyed the serene ambiance of the hotel grounds, which made our stay relaxing and rejuvenating. Highly recommend Sudu Araliya Hotel for anyone visiting Polonnaruwa!

hotel sudu araliya is  a fantastic place

My wife and I spent two nights at Sudu Aralia on our way back to Colombo. The hotel is beautifully located. After a warm and friendly welcome were ushered to our room which was comfortable. The view of the lake was a bit obstructed by the trees. The garden was well maintained. The dining area was big and well laid out. Our booking include breakfast which was excellent. Thushara, the F & B supervisor was extremely helpful and looked after the guests and attended to their needs. The only downside was the loud music that a group of party goers indulged in.

Can without any hesitation recommend Sudu Araliya, Polonnaruwa.

This hotel located on center of the historical site.  All places are in waking distance. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Even chef offered to prepare a special meal for kid without any additional fee.
