It’s my second visit. A year back I did accidentally discover this Guest House that has a swimming pool in Panadura. The owner speaks many languages but his forte is German! If you need a quiet serene place that is full of positive energies this will be it! The best egg hoppers (for dinner) with seeni samb and rice and curry (for lunch) is not to be missed. Best of all is the generous hospitality and it’s swimming pool.

Great food and super clean!

This was a classyplace. The rooms were exceptional and very clean. The pool was superb. Lots of privacy. The couple who were assigned to manage the place was extremely friendly and attended to all our needs. Finally just before we left, we met the owners and they were friendly and nice to us. All in all this was lovely place and we look forward to come here again.

Homely stay

I stayed here for a week. It is beautiful, quiet and very clean. Close to the beach and they also provide airport pick up. The staff are beyond friendly and super nice. The guy cooks the best food. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is so big but really tasty. Enjoyed the time there. Very peaceful. Thank you

Really nice

I stayed for one night in Abey's Villa before moving on to the southern part of the island, and had a really comfortable stay. The bedroom was huge, with a clean and well-appointed bathroom and good Wi-Fi and A/C. An excellent breakfast was served in the large dining hall, which is decorated with interesting antiques and old Dutch furniture. The breakfast spread ranged from delicious fresh fruit, freshly baked bread, to traditional Sri Lankan "hoppers" with eggs and lentil curry, which the hosts eagerly ushered us through to the kitchen to watch being cooked. Wonderful! 
The hosts are a lovely Sri-Lankan - German couple, who were friendly, helpful and informative, and who clearly know their stuff on Sri Lanka - they gave us lots of tips for the rest of our stay. 
Only thing I could have improved would be the provision of some good quality coffee in the breakfast, but this is a very minor gripe in an otherwise outstanding stay.

Very comfortable stay

I stayed here for one night only with a group of 5 others on a whirlwind tour of Sri Lanka. Aruna and Jutta went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and gave us plenty of insider tips about where to go in Sri Lanka. Both owners have worked for many years in the tourist industry in Sri Lanka and have a wealth of knowledge about it. The rooms were really nice, with a very modern bathroom and breakfast was a real highlight; full of local delicacies which Aruna explained to us. Due to the short nature of our trip, we only had one night to spend here but I would highly recommend a visit.
