we supposed to stay for 2nights but when you go in the hotel no heater in the room knowing the temperature in nuwara was socold and if you want you need to pay..the room was big however need renovation..and for the whole stay no power so we decided to just stay for a night and leave next day.. and lot of mosquitoes in dinning area

On arrival we were greeted by the Front Desk girl and quickly escorted to the room, she was very helpful but as you enter the hotel it starts getting smelly. 
When we arrived we didn't know the nearby places and once we took a walk we understood that we are very near the city central, so this was a nice location. 

The most disappointing thing about this place was the bathroom, everything was old and rusty, shower curtain was smelly and mouldy, bidet shower pipe was full of mould, so filthy! Hot water is very important while staying in Nuwara Eliya so we even asked before we checked in whether hot water is working fine and we were told yes.
This was not the case when we tried to take a shower, the water was either too cold or too hot. We informed this several times but this issue was not sorted out even when we checked out. We were 
Restaurant was not hygienic. (we avoided to eat here) Staffs needs to be trained on hygiene levels. 
Overall cleanliness needs to be improved, broken shower head needs to be repaired, the whole bathroom needs to be renovated. 

Value for money is not good (not worth paying even $30)

Me and my wife stayed at here for 3 days and its was so wonderful place to stay really praceful. From the day one the staff are so nice at us and their showed what is customer service at it best. We were very happy to stay at here and we strongly recommend to all who are going nuwara eliya to stay here. The rooms are well cleaned. The lady who owned this hotel was so genuin and was so help full to us. Once again thank u glenfal resort for giving us the qulity and confertable service that we have never expiranced from the top hotels that we have visited. 

Wonderful place to stay at nuwara eliya

I slept here one night with a friend for 6000 LRS with breakfast and taxes. Large clean comfortable room, wooden floor + carpet, large beds, fireplace, wooden nice furniture, clean sheets and towels.
Very hot water for the shower.
Good Wi-Fi.

The house belonged to a Scottish and is about 90 years old. Old proprietor's furniture is still there, with old nice objects kept in place in the living room. The result is a charming and location.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offered the usual things + a good selection of fruit, cheese and local bread and sweets.

I absolutely don't understand some other awful reward, but the owner explained that too many hotels here have similar names and customers have confused the hotel.

It's cheap, clean, charming, secure, centrally located. We loved it.


Wonderful and comfortable!

friendly service and a comfortable place to stay in.Except the toilet wash basin tap need to be replaced..Breakfast was good and they are quite flexible with the timings.located near the centre with accessible roads..

Good service and nice rooms

The place is very outdated and the rooms are cold , you feel the moist everywhere .Don't expect to have a good rest,as it is very noise,there's absolutely no isolation on the doors or windows. We had problems with the hot water,and that's a bit frustrating in the mountains ... It was recommended  by our taxi driver,so be careful!
