We stayed as a family for 3 nights. We had a nice room with a strong aircondition, comfortable beds and a very nice bathroom. The family was helpful with laundry, breakfast and organising onward travel. The beach is very close and offers nice regular waves - perfect for kids bodysurfing.

Perfect stay in weligama

The eco villa is a great option in Weligama that offers great quality at a reasonable price. Eco Villa is owned by a family, so staying here feels like being in a homestay. Owners and staff are extremely kind and helpful. Rooms are quiet, and spacious and are equipped with mosquito nets, fans, and air-con. There is a kitchen for preparing breakfast or other meals independently, hence this place is a great option for long-term stays, too. The beach is literally one minute away. Staying here is more than recommended!

great quality at a reasonable price

Sweetest family, nice and fresh rooms with mosquito nets. Offers breakfast, laundry service. Rooms with AC. Nice bathroom. 1 min walk from the beach (but the calm side of the beach, not many restaurants around). Also got help with transfer to the next place. Wifi little bit slow. Would recommend!

Nice and cheap accomodation

This special place , very closed to the beach and a bit outside of the city of weligama is the place to have a relaxed holiday . The family wich host the place is super friendly and very helpful . The rooms are one of the nicest wich I have seen in Sri Lanka, specially the bathroom from the room I was staying was fantastic. It was super convenient that I was able to use the kitchen , wich allowed me to go to the local fishmarket and cook super fresh seafood and fish directly in the homestay . When you meet this family you really feel like coming home . I highly recommend to stay in this place and enjoy the quite environment. Whenever I gonna be down in the south of Sri Lanka again I gonna come back to that place . The price for the room was unbelievable good . Everyone should go there and check it out by himself. 

Eco villa hotel weligama 

The perfect place to be. It’s nearly to the see and with the tuk tuk 5 min to the center of weligama. Tharanga and his family were so kind and took care for us. The rooms are small but very beautiful, you have all what you need. we see us again thara:)

All you need

Our stay in Eco Villa was super good!
So far the best place we have stayed in Sri Lanka.
Tharanga and Ganisha are super hosts, they were realy helpful for everything and we feel home all the time on our stay there.
We could also use the kitchen anytime to cook what was realy good.
Room confortable with realy good toilet/hot shower if you need and the place is in a really good location between Weligama and Mirissa.. Beach only 2 min walking! 
For sure we will be back one day, that was our home alway from home! 
And I can't forget the delicious special new years breakfast Ganisha made for us, we had a realy nice time there and with the family

Best place In Sri Lanka

Last year, when I was on vacation in Sri Lanka, I stayed in this wonderful place with wonderful people, my staying there was such a blessing, I loved it so much, I felt myself like home. When I got back home all I could think about is when will I go back! And I was sure that when I come back to Sri I will stay in здесь название отеля. I loved people in this hotel and their children are just angels)
This year I am going to stay for a while with them too, and I look forward to a meeting with them.

This place is horrible. It is dirty, smells strange and there are insects everywhere. I had booked this place for 2 nights but switched place after 1 terrible night. This place is far away from the beach and the restaurants so u either have to walk 20 minuts or pay a tuck-tuck. We had bookes and payed our stay trough hotels.com but the staff didnt knew that. When i showed a recipe from hotels.com they said that they didnt know how they would get their money from hotels.com. like that was my problem???

The worst night in my life

Although not actually called a homestay, this is the most authentic and welcoming stay we encountered. Ganisha & Tharanga speak fluent English and can converse on any subjects. They are so helpful and share their knowledge. Ganisha is an amazing cook and showed us how to cook 5 Sri Lankan dishes and how to make lanterns for Vesak. With 2 children, Hirun and Pasinda, we were made to feel like part of their family. People in the neighbourhood were also friendly. This Eco villa has nice rooms with an inside/outdoor bathroom & hot water, but no air-conditioning. It is in a great location, quiet for sleeping but very close to the beach and great value. We were here in the wrong time, but the surf is good during the right season. We highly recommend staying here and this villa deserves the best rating.
