It was off peak season when we arrived, thus it was very serene and peaceful. The hotel is located in Pedlars Street, the heart of Galle Fort. Nearby food shops, coffee shops, convenience stores, shopping etc. Very convenient location if you’re in Galle. Easy walk to beautiful sites especially the beach and lighthouse. Don’t hesitate to book here!

Great location in Galle Fort!

Stayed over Christmas with the family.  Is right in the heart of Galle Fort so short walks were all that were required.  Host was excellent and helpful, nice shop for gift purchases.  Rooms comfortable if not spectacular, breakfast great.  Some reviews mention curfew, we were given a key to the front door when we were unsure of out return time - just ask.

Very Peaceful

Most of the places in Fort seem to be homestay. This was one of them. I booked a single room without AC but after seeing the heat in Galle when i arrived, i upgraded it to AC room (they had AC in double rooms only). This is located right in the middle of fort (on perhaps whats the most happening street in fort). The bus/train station is 5 to 7 mins walk from this. The prices are very cheap. The room is very basic but clean. I guess the price you are paying, its best one can expect. The host was very friendly. Would recommend to anyone who want a cheap clean place with great location.

Great Location and Price

Amazing location with all major attractions and restaurants super close by. We booked a non-AC room and it came with a ceiling and a floor fan.. Hot water in the bathroom: both in the shower and the taps. Wifi was good and never a problem. The property is gorgeous and well-maintained. The service was nice: not too instructive and the onus was on us if we felt like company. When I was sick on the day we checked out, the owners even made me some Ayurvedic remedy!

Great location and budget

A great little place to stay right in the heart of the fort. It’s amazing to find a friendly home stay on Pedlar Street that is so quiet and peaceful at nighttime. I slept well here so I came back for a second stay.  
Overall, the bed and breakfast are good value for Galle. Breakfasts in the indoor courtyard gardens are a treat and a great way to start another relaxing day. 
Be sure to make a purchase at the handicrafts shop - you’ll be supporting local craftswomen.

A peaceful and cosy home stay

Figured this place during the end of my Sri lanka trip. I suggest this place for travelers who are looking for nothing but a peaceful stay. I got a room with a garden view and a nice easy chair to sit n read in the morning. The rooms are well kept and washrooms are super clean. The place is beautifully lit by night with fairy lights and a cozy sit out area for the travelers to chill
P.S: Most of the places in Galle fort are home stay's and they would appreciate if the customers reach back to the room by 11.00 pm in the night. I recommend all the travelers inquire about the curfew timings to their respective owners before finalizing a stay.

Pleasant and cheap

Small, dump, dirty room with zero possibility to ventilate, the windows are permanently locked. Very old and noisy air conditioning,  Dust was everywhere. We cleaned thé shelves ourselves. We also removed the mosquito net, it was grey with dirt and smelled. We asked them to wash it, but after ani hour they brought it back in thé same condition. We asked them again to wash it, but they never brought it back. The towels and betsheets also smelled, most probably they were washed with too little waters or washing powder. The worst experience was a cockroach in our washbasin. 
We gave notice early enough, that we would need to get out of thé hotel early, ať five o clock in the morning on a trip, they assured us that thé door will not be locked, but they were locked and in the morning we had to look for thé owner and wake him up and wait fór him to let us out.. It was very uncomfortable.
If we had not paid in advanced for a week, we would have let after thé first night. I recommend never to pay in advance
After the first dinner in that place my wife started having digestion problems, stomach cramps and diahorrea, She spent all night in thé bathroom and could not eat anything fór two days. We always waited ať least 1 and half, but mostly two hours for thé meal, portions were too small.
