Beautiful place! Staff were so friendly and helpful with all of our requests! It is located in an amazing part of Colombo right next to the Havelock mall so you’ll never be stuck! Breakfast was amazing and offered so much variety of Sri Lankan food!

One of the best villas in colombo. Good antique furniture and atmosphere. Exceptional service from the staff especially Mr Ilangoo and Menusha care of us with different ways. Morning breakfast is absolutely delicious. Finally Really thank for Mr. Neel ones who owned the villa for giving us best room to best rates 

Totally fine for a couple 

I stayed in this fabulous boutique hotel for 2 weeks and I am running out of adjectives to describe how good they were. The owners treated me as their family and literally could not ask for more. If you looking for authentic Srilankan hospitality, can't think of a better place.

Authentic Srilankan hospitality

Super nice and friendly people- we arrived in the middle of the night in Colombo and so we woke the guy up to open the door. He was so kind to give us two armchairs wirh foodrest so we could sleep. They also provided us with many info on our travel plans in Sri Lanka.
The room was clean, aircon working well. Place is easy to find for any tuk tuk driver. Breakfast delicious. 

Friendly personal hotel

Ended up here after the sister hotel did not honour our booking at 2am despite confirming emails. 
Much preferred this hotel. The single member of staff we met was extremely happy and friendly (especially compared to the grumpy unapologetic sister hotel staff). Breakfast was great and set us up for the day. 
Hotel decor is very unique and adds a special feeling to the place. 

Very friendly and unique

We chosen this hotel for a first night at the begging at our 3 weeks Sri Lanka trip. The hotel was clean but the vegan could be larger. We just had some fruits and coffee as we requested vegan breakfast. Good value of money overalll.

Good hotel

We opted for Sunrise Boutique as it had a good price compared to other hotels in Colombo. The rooms were clean even though they looked much better in the pictures online. The street where it is located is quiet and away from the city chaos. The staff is  friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average, but they did have gluten free bread which kind of surprised us. Would recommend if you want to go for a guest house feeling.

Value for Money

We spent one night here prior to flying out of Colombo the following day. An absolute gem of a hotel - not too far from the city centre - it was easy to find and beautifully decorated. The room was very comfortable and had all amenities (high speed net, hot water etc). Best of all the staff were super friendly and serve a mean Sri Lankan breakfast. Good value for money and highly recommended. 

Attractive boutique hotel

We arrived on Christmas Eve night.    The person who greeted us (I don't recall his name) asked use to pay our bill in full in US dollars cash.     I don't know why and this was the only place in Sri Lanka where we were asked to do this.    With hindsight we wouldn't have done as it left us short of changeable cash for the rest of our trip and we could have paid by credit card.     However everything else was fine.     The location was good, the area was quiet and the rooms were quirky but clean and perfectly fine.     The staff were friendly and helpful, even arranging a special breakfast on Christmas Day morning.   Duresha and Nilanga, the owners, got in touch before our departure for Sri Lanka, arranged pick up from the airport and also gave us some really good advice on our trip.    In particular,we'd like to thank Sanka and Bandula.     They were warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them, the breakfasts were great and they even waited up for us every night of our stay to make sure we got home safely which they didn't need to do but which we really appreciated.

Really helpful, genuine owner and staff who helped us plan our trip in Sri lanka! Lovely breakfast and comfortable stay. Ideal for 1 night in Colombo, staff also helped us move onto mirissa by providing a driver.
