The location is not too easy to find because it is located about 20 mins walk from the Aquaduct and in a neighborhood that is difficult to fine.  The price on booking was not what we paid, the host added 10% extra (tax) - very misleading.  There is a parking lot on the property but it is locked and guest are not given the key entrance to the parking gate - so if you planned on using your car and coming back to the B&B at a time that the host is not there, you will get lock out (and end up parking outside of the property).  Or if you want to get out of the property with your car out of the 2 hour window that the hosts are there, you will not be able to get out of the property because it needs a key to the gate.  Upon arrival, we went to town (walking) and upon returning, we were not able to get in to the main entrance because the host bolt locked the door (we were only given keys to the main entry and our room), but not the bolt lock.  It took a while for the host to open the bolt lock and she denied locking the bolt (she said it was our key but we tested it and it was fine).  This happened the entire time we were entering/exiting the B&B.  We felt like it was a fortress - you can stay there but you can't leave or enter back unless it is within the 2 hour period the host was there.  What  a disappointment!

Disappointing and misleading

Was delighted to arrive and discover this hidden haven is far more beautiful than the photos depict! If you want the disinfected blandness of a chain hotel this is not for you. La Huerta oozes charm and quirkiness in every corner! Our room was very comfy and cosy (the one in the picture above), and opened straight on to the beautiful gardens complete with friendly cats and dogs. The hostess was amazingly hospitable and hardworking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the last leg of our European tour, and would love to have stayed for a week!

A wonderful haven

It is a guesthouse with only 4 rooms and offers meals only at weekends in its restaurant.  The atmosphere is like home partly because the lady owner is very friendly.  We walked from there to the main destinations only around 20 minutes after passing by comfortable passage and a park.  The local restaurant and the nearby tucked-away spots as recommended by her are very fantastic.
