115 reviewsThis quaint hotel in the hamlet of Bode, near Arriondas in the foothills of the Picos de Europa is a great place to stay and to eat if you want to stay in unspoilt, beautiful Asturian countryside. You are 5 minutes by road from the canoe rental places on the Sella river and half an hour from fabulous beaches in one direction and amazing mountain scenery in the other. The Buho de la Remolina is a family run hotel and Carlos and Humi run it in a very friendly and welcoming way. Carlos is a brilliant cook, always sourcing the best ingredients locally and cooking them in an unpretentious manner. If you are not staying at the hotel you can order a meal there - there is no set menu you just let Carlos know in time so he can get to the market. The hotel is owl themed (Buho means Owl) and a vivid purple colour, set in gardens and very safe for children.
