We stayed here one night to attend a wedding at Rozendal 401. The service is was excellent and the room equipped with exactly what we needed. Breakfast was also superb. Thank you very much

Only a couple of things that may have made this rating a score of excellence:

- the bin in the bathroom still had not been emptied upon our arrival
- there were many spiderwebs in the bathroom (especially the very large one in the shower)
- the bees nest right above the front door on the porch was a bit of a worry as I am allergic to bees
- the razor plug in the bathroom does not work

The bed we slept on was amazing and we were thankful for underrroof parking. Overall a very nice stay.

Wedding Stay

I travelled to Stellenbosch to consult with the university on future research. I found the guest house to be well located. 
I was just concerned at the geyser not working, and the bed squeaking each time I rolled over. Other wise service and other amenities were great.

Research exploration

Our stay was quiet and relaxing, with a lovely pool to enjoy,  just what was needed after the big city. A great location for visiting all the Stellenbosch wineries starting with a great breakfast made by Beverly.

Relaxing

I travelled alone to be close to Stellenbosch University.  The guesthouse is well located between the airport, Stellenbosch, Somerset West and Cape Town.  It is also well located between wine estates and restaurants.  It is a quiet and peaceful guesthouse with friendly and helpful staff and excellent breakfast.

Very good guesthouse

Most welcoming, caring, loving home away from home.  Neat and homey. Comfortable.  Food excellent.  Staff friendly. A place where you can breath and really relax.

I will definitely recomend Onze Rust to every one I meet.

Peace for your soul

Anyone looking for a small getaway place for holiday? If your hand is up in the sky, you should try Onze Rust Guesthouse in Stellenbosch. Their breakfast is heaven on earth. All rooms are fitted with a small bar fridge to keep you drinks cold. Ever worried of your pile of laundry? , stay for a couple of days they will help you out for free.

Excellent service

We loved staying here. The bird life was incredible, the hostess was gracious, and very attentive - she gave us all the info we needed and suggested possible day trips too. It was a relaxing time for my husband and I. We love the breakfast too.

A real farm feel

A stones throw away from the Spier Conference centre, Onze Rust provides a retreat after a busy day to recharge. Beautifully spacious rooms which are well appointed allow you to sink into rest away from work. Breakfasts provide for all tastes and are more than adequate. Don't let the rustic sheds at the entrance put you off.

Peaceful retreat at Onze Rust

Onze Rust accommodated our group of colleagues.
No complaints from anyone in the group. Rooms neat and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful.
The complementory breakfast was tasty and welcoming.
Other reviews mention that there are no wardrobes in some rooms, however this is obviously because of the era the buildings date from. Yes the landscape is not as photographed, but the region has or still is experiencing a drought.
The venue is most definitely value for money; managed superbly. 

Peaceful and Tranquil

terrible. The guesthouse is for sale and not up to standard. Definitely not value for money and we would not recommend it to anyone. Gardens also in a bad state, the furniture in the guesthouse as well.
