Awesome experience with new people to meet and a day away. The service was prompted and friendly. Love the set up they have and seem like you not even in a city unless you leave the premises. I will definitely go again. 

Get away

This Hostel was very nice. The ladies at the reception were really friendly and helpful, I felt so welcome at Albergos. Every evening they do a bonfire in the garden where you can grab a beer at the bar and just enjoy. I definetly would come back. Thank you so much! 

Lovely place

We really enjoyed our stay at Albergo for Backpackers!  The staff are very welcoming and make you feel at home the moment you arrive.The facilities are also great and you can tell that a lot of love has been put into this backpackers. Would stay again! 

Lovely hostel in the center of Plett

Enjoyed our stay. Our double room was really well presented. Enjoyed the bed and the windows and the decor. The bathrooms and showers were the best I’ve ever experienced in a hostel!! The kitchen and the place were clean and tidy. The communal area and garden were beautifully presented. The staff helped us a lot with booking a game drive, other hostels, taxis, etc. Very nice and friendly people. The negatives are that the WiFi did not work well, it wasn’t easy to get on it, and our room was by some stairs that led to dorm rooms. We could hear everything. The room needs better sound proofing. We could hear every time someone went stomping up or down the stairs so our sleep was broken. The layout of the place was a bit strange too with the communal area not near the bar. 

Helpful staff but could be improved

Albergo is an excellent located hostel in Plett. The best part is the Braai in the garden, you can cook your own dinner and everyone gathers around the fire for a drink and a lot of stories. The local guys are great and very helpful. Stay here if you want to understand the coast

Place to be in the coast 

The hostel is absolutely superb, staff are friendly, helpfull and the rooms are clean. This is the perfect example of how a good, clean hostel should be.  Perfect location, good wifi and a good international mix of people. Great rooms and awesome vibe. The hostel is located near local restaurants, supermarkets, banks and night clubs.  The beach is in walking distance, one of our rooms had a ocean view. I had a double bed all to myself and did not feel unsafe at any time.. Everything was excellent  and all of us had a great time, we will def  be seeing you again in the near future.

Perfect example of how a good hostel should be.

We were presently suprised by Albergo Backpackers.  We loved our clean rooms, bathrooms and linen.  the best was enjoying hot showers after 4 days of hiking.  The children loved the lounge with all the games and enjoyed maiking coffee and tea.
The staff were very friendly and great hostesses.

School Hiking Club loved Albergo!

This backpackers is very stunning with a very nice succulent garden and very close to shops and beach.
Unfortunately you can't enjoy the succulent garden in peace without terrible music playing on top volume 
And on request to the receptionist to turn it down so I could have a moment of peace I get the worst attitude I've ever seen.
While sitting watching a documentary on my phone I was told by her (the staff) that "what I'm doing is not right" Wich is disrespectful on many levels and felt like I was getting attack in the spa

Located right in the centre of Plett, this is a very well run, comfortable backpackers. I paid 180.00r p/n although this price does increase during peak season. The beds were comfortable and had a warm blanket - which was definitely needed! The bathrooms were spotlessly clean, as was everything across the hostel. Only complaint would be the lack of plug sockets by the beds in the dorm.

The social scene was limited, although this was based more on the fact there were only about 3 others staying. They made a fire outside every night I was there and there are a couple of very cosy common rooms. Meeting people wouldn't have been a problem, if there were any to meet...

You can't bring alcohol in but there was a well stocked bar selling beer etc. at decent prices (20r for a Castle). There is an extremely well stocked kitchen and a ShopRite (large supermarket) exactly opposite the backpackers so cooking for yourself is easy. 

The staff were very friendly and, although I didn't, they can book various tours and activities in the local area. There is also a large car park which you can use if driving.

Well located, comfortable backpackers!

A nice backpackers tucked just off the Main Street and opposite a checkers which made life very convenient. It’s a 25 minute walk from the beach which was a little irritating. The actual hostel was very nice though. It’s bathrooms were very nice and the beds in the dorm room were comfortable. It had good cooking facilities and a very small bar. Just down the street there are several cool sports bars and restaurants. Ideal if you want to be near the centre of town.
