The Grail Centre offers cosy self catering cottages that are perfectly equipt for a weekend getaway from the city. The architecture of the houses is light and airy, with a fireplace and veranda. Its close to the mountain and the beach. The centre has a swimming pool and laundry facilities. Highly recommended for a restful holiday.

Peaceful holiday house

We enjoyed our stay at the Gail center very much. It was just scary with all those trees at night.but overall the owners a really down to earth peole as well as the service they give it is excellent. The cottages are clean

Very nice

I absolutely loved my stay at The Grail Centre. We were happy with our self-catering cottage which had all the basics we needed including the lovely linen in each room.
We were extra delighted to find the entrance to a nature reserve a stone's throw away from the centre. Two mornings in a row, we went for a little hike up and around Jane's Hill and had the opportunity to soak in the natural surroundings. Soul soothing indeed. This mini hike is suitable for kids too but Three susters is a bit more strenuous according to the locals.

The plus is that the beach is within walking distance, approximately 2km and the harbour is a few minutes drive away...although you can walk too. 

The locals are super friendly and a little chat is always welcomed. 

Access to shops in case you need anything. Be sure to pop in at the honey shop close to the harbour, get your car cleaned at the carwash whilst you enjoy some shopping and browsing of the little galleries along this road.

The Grail Centre is a very peaceful and tranquil place. The service we received was absolutely great and immediate attention was given to all our questions and needs. The staff are all friendly and accommodating.

I highly recommend this place. It's not super fancy but has everything you'll need. Plus you will want to be out in nature most of the time anyway, so there's no need for luxury.

Braai and pool facilities are available. Take along a yoga mat if needed. 

Very important: Noise levels are respected by all visitors. Keep the windows closed at night to avoid bugs and bees flying in.

A quick value for money getaway

The staff are welcoming. Spent 4 nights at the property. Rooms are clean, have a fridge, microwave, stove with mini oven, toaster, fire place and  cutlery and crockery. You're 5 minutes from the town and the restaurants on the beachfront. There is a walking trail just behind the property. There are no tv's and you have to bring your own towels. Great get away that won't break the bank

Tranquillity and value for money

A clean and neat cottage with braai facilities - our room at The Grail Centre, in a nutshell. We arrived the Friday afternoon and received friendly service from the staff. The only surprise was that we had to pay an extra R125 for the dog - I thought this was included in the amount already paid - but I guess that's my fault for not reading the fineprint. 

As mentioned before, the room was neat and tidy and the beds comfortable. We stayed in the attached cottage (3 together), so next time I'll be sure to book a separate cottage for better privacy and an enclosed yard where the dogs can freely run. Fortunately we had friendly neighbours. I would definitely visit The Grail Centre again.
