I was horrified when i was woken up at 7am by the noise from next door. We were placed, next door to house keeping and there were ladies SCREAMING and talking to each other. They were also bamging things so loudly. I reported it to the receptionist and notjinf was done about it for hours! I was forced to just get up and get out the room because it was so awful. The bathroom, also had disgusting stains, underneath the seat part. It was the worst experience at any hotel in sandton ive ever had.

Disgust and Horror

Exceptional, accommodating staff, exceedingly attractive design, fantastic food options, and great location.

First the good, property is very clean, modern, and the studio suite we had was very nice. However, there were a few things lacking for what should have been a 5 star accommodation.It was winter when we stayed and quite cold… we expected to be given at least slippers and bath robe in 5 star accommodation.Also, we stayed in a studio suite apartment with full kitchen but there was not a single kitchen towel in the apt, nor any paper-towel in the kitchen. Only 1 box of tissue for the entire apartment, the coffee machine didn’t work, and the trash bins were also very limited with only 2 in the apartment and NONE in the bathroom. Also only 2 coffee pods, which were different type, and not enough milk for two people having tea/coffee.Breakfast was ok, but as everywhere it seems in South Africa, service is slow and in some places does not exist.

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very flexible, room comfortable and nice pool area. Would stay again if back in JNB

Good standard hotel

It’s very cosmopolitan and modern but my room had roaches, as time progressed it got more obvious. At the bar restaurant, I ordered a veggie burger and they passed off a potato pancake between two buns as such, when I alerted them to that, I was still charged, at the coffee bar the attendant tried to keep my cash after I decided to pay with a card, and another insisted I pay for her to get cake. I was scammed into a bogus tour and had to fight and get Expedia involved to get a refund. At my arrival  home I discovered 200 dollars was pilfered from my suitcase. It had to be at the hotel. Yet there were examples of good customer service in general and the hotel is commodious. Of course I wouldn’t return.

I liked the fact that all the staffs I came across were very welcoming and polite.

Outstanding staff. One of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Decided to stay a week longer and they upgrade at my room for me and gave me a beautiful view. Can’t see anything bad about this place at all. Absolutely wonderful experience. Staff has all been very friendly, helpful, and outgoing.

Sandton hotel is in the Sandton suburb of Johannesburg. The hotel is pretty and feels very safe. They have shopping and business options in and connected to the hotel. If you need anything it is probably closer than you think. Also ask about the different types of rooms for a better fit for your needs. I will stay there again when I return to Johannesburg. I loved the tub even though it was a challenge to get in because I am short..The only con was when I showed the water leaked between the tiles and on to the floor.
