Very welcoming stafff and a beautiful location and views from Elephoant Lodge .   Every need catered for and delicious breakfast . Wine available .  Bed very comfortable .  Breakfast served outside and was delicious 

Amazing comfortable stay

My wife and I checked in for a little getaway to celebrate our 10 years of marriage. We were greeted by Cecilia, who was so welcoming and warm.  She made us feel at home right away.

What stood out for us was obviously the views, and how quite it was.  Very tranquil.  Again, Cecilia was very accommodating.  The breakfast was amazing and we dinner at the famous Rueben's Restaurant, which is on the same wine estate (Chamonix). 

Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short by a day because I fell ill with a stomach virus (which I knew was coming before our trip).  Cecilia was kind enough not to charge for the last night, as we sadly ventured home.   Will definitely be back!

Wonderful views, tranquility, and warm welcoming host

We stayed here for three nights early in March and had a fabulous time.  It is really quiet and peaceful.  The pool is wonderful and the views out over Franschhoek are stunning.  Our room was enormous with double aspect windows, a large bathroom and balcony area to star gaze from.  Breakfast was wonderful.  A great selection and the cooked breakfast was fabulous.  Would not hesitate in recommending this as a great place to stay.  Agnes also booked a restaurant for us on our first night - which was super.

Totally Relaxing stay

A lovely peaceful spot on a hillside surrounded by vines, with amazing views across Franschhoek.  The team at Elephant Lodge were super friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience was wonderfully relaxing.

Peaceful and relaxed

Franschhoek is a beautiful town. When you drive through the town on the way to Elephant Lodge, you start driving up the hill and you realise how beautiful it is from higher up. And then you arrive at the lodge and you see across the valley with a beautiful vista.

And then you know that you made the right choice in staying at the Elephant Lodge. The view is just awesome! You feel a sense of peace and tranquillity. It is well worth the compromise of not staying in town itself. The view and tranquillity make up for being outside of town.

You will find yourself staring out over the town and surrounding mountains for a long time, drinking the view in. You will not be sorry. Cecilia and her team look after you really well and on fine mornings
