Spacious and neat units with lounge area including  dstv, bar fridge, kettle, microwave and hair dryer! Very convenient and private. Has its own private terrace with small garden! Spacious ensuite with shower.  Controlled access with secure parking. Centrally situated in a quiet are within walking distance to shops. Includes breakfast! Had the most amazing time with very friendly staff!

Centrally situated and Beautiful Lodge!

Arrived in Bloemfontein late afternoon without having booked a place to stay. Oakwood was the second lodge I found - the first one in the same vicinity seemed closed. Oakwood was a really pleasant discovery after travelling most of the day. The receptionist was efficient and soon had me booked into a very comfortable room with a little balcony. Happy to find it had a bath - and not just a shower. Air conditioner worked, plenty of hot water, comfortable and clean room with ample safe parking - oh and value for money. I highly recommend this lodge and would stay there again.

Pleasant discovery

Good place to stay, I would indeed recommend it!

Good basic, clean room. Odd smell off putting.

Our room was clean and comfortable.              Unfortunately there was a mix up with the booking which caused a problem,  but Nina was friendly and helpful in sorting it out.

We love staying there ,It is a nice place with big rooms and very central but we do see a deterioration every time we come.  No Bedside lamps or they are not working, linen very worn  and Pillow cases stained.  Floor was not cleaned

We arrived a bit too early so had to wait for the room to be ready at 14:00 
Receptionist was really friendly. Cozy B&B with a good atmosphere. Unfortunately our room was inside, so it was very dark and extremely cold. Also- when we got back late, after attending a wedding there was no parking left, so had to park by the wall, near the gate. Accommodation was very cheap, and the bed very comfortable. I'd recommend this B&B , but would advise a room on the outside (not inside)

Surprisingly quiet

The location is convenient in the suburb of Westdene and as I had stayed there several years ago, thought I would try it again. Things seem to have gone a bit South since then - cost-cutting measures making it not quite what I expected. How is one to read in bed with those awful LED lights?  The aircon was noisy. The breakfast room was freezing - no heater and the outside door wide open - with the overnight temperature being -5. The serving staff were waiting on tables in thick jackets and beanies. The breakfast was OK, except that the fruit was out of a tin. Not good in a country where fresh fruit is readily available.  A cosy breakfast room would have made a big difference.

Disappointing return to a place first visited when it was new ......

If you want wi-fi make sure to get an inside room. Cost me having to buy data so I didn't save anything. That said the prices are reasonable and the rooms comfortable. Rather have breakfast out though.

I was double booked and given a lesser room, then they were unwilling to give me a refund.
