This has been some of the best food I have had in Slovenia so far. I was in the Capitol four days. It was all kind of mundane, even the two place i at at the famous food market near the river. A couple place and were ok, my hotel was actually really good. Bled had a good restaurant, but the massive amount of people made it crazy to find a seat. The room here is also really nice and large, at a really descent price,.

Some of the best food in Slovenia so far

Stayed at Jazbec for two nights on a business trip. The hotel was charming, clean and in a good location to get to and from the town.
The manager (I’m sorry I didn’t catch his name!) was incredibly accommodating, explaining directions well to us on arrival, making us a late night snack of cheeses and breads  and even arranging an early breakfast for us (6am!) on the day of our departure.
Finally, on the day of our meeting he drove us to our destination for free so we didn’t have to walk.
Fabulous service and we left with smiles on our faces, we will definitely return on our next trip!

We stoped on a way home for a lunch. Kind personel, good food, value for money, big portions, fresh home vegetables. They even took it a step further and prepared a salad for our youngest son, because he loves pickles. 

I recommend, great stop by the road, easy to find. 👍

Great food, value for money

Excellent service, excellent food (normal to big portions), good prices. Would recommend! Nice and clean terrace..
Waiters wearing masks and dezifections everywhere. Big like for that in this corona times. 


Lunch

I was part of a group of cyclists that spent two nights at Gostice Jazbec in September 2018.  Our room cost was paid by out tour leader so I can't comment on the "value".  My travelling companion and I had a large and comfortable twin bed room.  The one drawback was that it overlooked the highway leading to Kobarid and the late evening and early morning traffic noise required that we close the windows in our room (and there was no AC).  Our group had one dinner at the hotel and the food and service got high praise from everyone.  The breakfasts were good as well.

Enjoyable accommodation and food

I stayed for one week at Jazbec and we had a wonderful stay! We were on half board basis, and the 3 course dinners provided were some of the best meals I'd ever eaten. All of the staff members were very friendly, knowledgeable and hard working and the rooms were sparkling clean. The hotel is a small family run business and I'd highly recommend the hotel. There is a scenic walking trail into the town of Kobarid and the rooms are cleaned daily.

Excellent base for adventure activities, the best food ever!

Stayed for a week, very welcoming, staff were attentive, comfortable clean rooms, walking distance to the town, lovely food and they were very kind to prepare me gluten free meals which were absolutely delicious! Wonderful hotel, I have recommended it to friends and would stay again! 

Wonderful stay, fantastic hosts

A lovely quiet hotel, perfectly situated for you to be able to explore Kobarid + many of the nearby towns as well as the Soca valley & the many activities on offer.
The staff are great nothing is too much bother. Rooms are clean, comfortable & the food simple but lovely.

Perfect Base for exlorers

We stayed here last week and enjoyed the hotel and food. It is clean, friendly and fulfilled all our needs. Yes the rooms at the front are nosier because it’s a busy road and yes you can hear the church bells in the morning, but it’s Slovenia! We were so tired from rafting, climbing etc that the noise didn’t bother us. I’d stay again. 

Good accommodation by the road 

I stayed here for four nights with a group of cyclists in September 2018.  The hotel is a good value and a good location as a base for exploring. The staff is very friendly. The food is good.   The rooms are clean. 
Beware of the road noise. This hotel is on the main road in and out of Kobarid. If you get a room in the back,  beware of the smell from the farm. 
The walk into Kobarid is not scenic and not lit. I wouldn't walk at night. There are no sidewalks on the main road to town. It cost $20 one way to Kobarid by taxi. 
Wi-Fi in the rooms is not good. I had to go to the lobby.
