What a fantastic trip. Hospitality in Slovenia that you could only expect from members of your family. The folks at Kamp Rut are so welcoming, generous and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and every possible need was anticipated. We had a lovely group barbecue on our last night, cooked using the covered camp fire pit, dishes utensils all provided free of charge. This, along with the fantastic breakfasts and liberal libations of local schnapps just added a new layer of fantastic memories to an already beautiful location. Slovenian Family

Wonderful friendly place to camp.  Run by a lovely family. Great soccer ground and playground. Good shade and spacing between camp spots. Would love to stay here again! Excellent showers and toilets, best shower block we have experienced in a long time.  They even have board games to play and a tv that plays sports! Washing machine for only €2 and they provide the clothes hangers for drying.

Excellent relaxed family vibe.

I stayed for one night in a private room in the dorm. The bed and pillow were more comfortable than at most of the hostels and bnb's that I have stayed in over the past 3 weeks. There is a kitchen with a refrigerator, cooktop, and cookware. Check-in was easy and the receptionist was nice. Best of all, the location is wonderful! It's a few minutes drive from Kobarid, so there is no noise from the road. Even though it was raining I had a delightful walk around Svino, the village just up the road, and along the path that starts at the bicycle in front of reception (on the latter one, try to find the bog with dozens of croaking frogs, it's really cool!)

Beautiful location and nice dorm

We arrived after a 3 hour drive in the pouring rain. We were supposed to camp, but because of the storm ahead, we opted for the hostel. We were the only guests (bad weather, mid May), but we were treated as kings none the less. The owner made us breakfast, at the time we wanted, huge portions, freshly made eggs and with a great smile. His English was not that good, but we got along. The environment is amazing, and very calm, opposed to the riverside camp ground. We will come back one day!

Great owner

We had planned to stay at another campsite, but the owner if that campsite suggested we try this one: he described it as new, and run by really kind people. He was absolutely right: Kamp Rut is a hidden gem. Quiet, nice views on the surrounding mountains and close to the treasures of the Soca river. We will surely return here!

Nice hideaway near Kobarid

We came there with 5 families and we found the place without any problems (and we had some on other camps which were overcrowded); almost empty pitch yard, in sun but we liked it. It was calm, relaxing, great view on the mountians. The playground for kids next to tents was  great as we could see easily what they do; footbal pitch great thing as well.
Owners nice and helpful, bathrooms clean and pleasant (3 showers, 3 toilets per gender), kitchen sinks with hot water fully available. Price really good. There is 5 minutes by bike to the town and supermarket and other attractions; road and hiking trials next to the kamp. For sure we will get back there in coming years. Highly recommend this place!
