Family of four stayed two nights, very comfortable large room with excellent service. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, gave us recommendations to visit Spania Dolina, a village in the mountains which was lovely. The breakfast was excellent, quiet area, short walk to city center. WE had to have breakfast in the room due to COVID restrictions but they were very flexible and well done.

Great local hotel with excellent service

Needed an overnight stop between Czech Republic and Budapest. Wanted to visit the museum in town (about 6 minute walk away). The welcome was enthusiastic, with hot beverage and cake offered (and accepted). The room was clean and comfortable; the breakfast was perfect.  Much nicer to stay in a friendly B&B, than an impersonal hotel.

Just what we wanted

The pension is in a nice location of Banska Bystrica. The room was with lots of nature light from outside. Also bathroom is big. We had good breakfast. Pension owners are obviously trying to do theirs best to make their hosts satisfied. We were satisfied for sure and we would recommend this pension to anyone.

Very kind personal and great accomodation

we have stayed one night in this beautiful B&B after our car broke down and we needed to spend night in Banska Bystrica. from the first telephone contact late in the evening untill our departure next morning we have been treated with exceptional care. the young receptionist was really kind to us, explained how to get there and even offered us fresh coffee and tea upon our arrival, though it was almost 9PM and the room was set for breakfast already. nothing seemed to be a problem for this lady, she was really very kind and helpful. as a family of 4 (plus dog) we got two separate rooms, both exceptionally clean, beautiful and spacious. beds were extremely comfy as was the shower, though we had to wait a while for a hot water :) breakfast was very good, not plenty to choose from but everything of a high quality: ham, cheese, bacon, egg omelete, egg+vegetable omelete, baked pepper, fresh vegetable salad, toasts, small sweet croissants, cereals, etc.. we very much liked the whole house, the owners pay attention to every detail so it was really very cozy and brought home away from home feeling. it is in a quite resindential area, but close to downtown, you can easily walk 10-15 minutes to the very heart of the town. the railway station is reachable by feet as well, though there is some construction work on the road, so we had to use a detour. Oh, forgot to mentioned they do not have problems with dogs even have one of their own, friendly Sara :) (the fee for a dog stay 10EUR/night/dog is quite excessive, especially for those who stay longer). Make sure you stay in this small hidden gem when being in town!

Stayed here for one night. Building is nice, staff also friendly, but room had no AC (only a blower) and mattress was really tired and uncomfortable. Wi-fi free and ok, parking also free on the street. Breakfast ok.

Uncomfortable bed

This little Pension is the perfect place to stay in Banska Bystrica, the amazingly preserved (never bombed) Midieval town that is a Unesco World Heritage Site. The Pension is perfect walking distance from town and actually had a garage for our car. No elevator? No problem! Andre energetically carried our two (mine very heavy) suitcases up the two flights of stairs in leaps and bounds. Then he offered us a beer before we walked up. Such great hospitality! Our room was perfect, and made us feel as if we were staying in someone's home. Andre provided directions for seeing the museum on our walk to town, and anything else we needed. Breakfast was diverse and would suit anyone's taste buds. We loved this little pension in a safe quiet neighborhood and would recommend it to anyone.
