A charming pension with nice clean, spacious rooms. Breakfast is pretty good. As vegetarians, we got some delicious local cheese instead of meat. Located in the centre of the citadel, its location is near perfect. Has a nice, somewhat medieval atmosphere.

Nice pension right in the middle of the citadel

The place looks really great and its located near all great places of sighisoara. We went during the medieval festival and every event that happened there was near Bastion. Hosts are nice people and breakfast was rich. To top it all they also had a huge St. Bernard called Samu that was friendly and really cute. I recommend this place and we will definately go back there. 

Great location

Lovely place in the centre of the citadel just a minute's walk from the main square. More homely than a hotel but still comfortable and very clean. Plenty of character and traditional decor blended with modern bathrooms and new furniture. Hosts were generous letting me check in very early but I didn't see them otherwise. Good option if you want to be in tye citadel

Homely, in the citadel

The room was very clean, the furniture was in great condition,  warm (we stayed in december), the personal was nice and friendly.  Most important is that is placed in the middle of the citadel, with easy acces to restaurants and places to visit. It was a nice surprise for us and we highly recommend it.

Clean and perfect location.

Bastion is located right in the sighisoara citadel, vrei close the clock tower. The location is very nice, however far from most supermarkets. The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are clean, nice cosy bed. The bathroom has a hairdryer which is a total plus. 

Very nice and cosy

Bastion is located at the foot of the Covered Stairs that lead to the Church on the Hilltop - the highest point in Sighisoara wherefrom you can admire the best preserved medieval city in Europe and part of UNESCO patrimony. Its location is most perfect because you can easily visit the medieval city, you can easily find restaurants to have lunch or dinner.
We were hospitably hosted in a room whose windows overlooked the crossroads of three narrow cobbled streets one of which led to one of the many towers which used to be part of the old city's curtain wall. The view was incredible in the morning. 
I was amazed at how big our room was, at the traditional furniture made of wood which was pleasantly combined with two comfortable extensible armchairs. The bed offered us all the comfort we needed after a long journey and the bathroom was well equipped. The hotel is neat and tidy, very clean, so you don't have to worry about anything. 
You can have breakfast in the lovely garden in front of the hotel where rose bushes and other flowers are planted and which delighted us with their perfume at the beginning of May. 
I strongly recommend visitors to choose Bastion because it offers good quality for money in an excellent location. And do not forget that if you are in a mood for short trips you can walk to the city bus station and go to one of the neighbouring villages where you can find Transylvania's most defining monuments - medieval fortified churches and peasant citadels plus traditional products. For example, we travelled to Saschiz, where you can find both a fortified church and a peasant citadel up to which there a pleasant walk / hike.
