I was part of a study group that recently stayed at Hotel Pierrot for a couple of nights during an extended visit in Oswiecim.   Hotel Pierrot was so accommodating — our rooms were comfortable and the common kitchen space provided a great place for us to reconnect after a long day as well as enjoy a hearty breakfast before we set out.  A big shout out regarding the breakfasts — a broad selection of meat, cheese, and vegetables as well as custom-made scrambled eggs!  The hotel is located right off the Main Square and close to many restaurants.  If you are looking for a relaxed and quaint place to stay while visiting Oswiecim, Hotel Pierrot would be a good option.

A Quaint Inn off the Main Square

I came in Poland with my brother to visit Auschwitz. We booked online the room couple of days before and we called in the arriving day that we will get the hotel quite late. Outside the hotel is not so impressive but inside you can find very clean rooms, a very good breakfast and a very polite hotel's employee. Moreover, on the staircase the hotel put everything else you probably need like an iron, ironing board/table, hairdryer, additional toilet paper, electric socket adapter and so on. Wifi is free and works fine and on the backside of the hotel you can find the hotel's car park that is also free of charge. I recommend it as is close to the museum ans it is not expansive. The Auschwitz museum is 5 min away by car or 15min walking distance.

Best option for a night if you visit Auschwitz

This is such a quaint little hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful.
We had room 6 which has air conditioning.
Breakfast is served in the kitchen on the first floor. Guests can use the kitchen at any time they like.
Would definitely stay there again.

Quaint

This hotel is located just a few steps away from the market square. We had early morning tickets for Auschwitz - this accommodation is just 5 minutes from there. Our room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was big and modern. Wifi was working excellent. The owner speaks English and made us breakfast really early. We also appreciated the parking lot behind the hotel.

Great location, close to everything

Academic Research Trip 

Pros:
We loved our week long stay at this hotel.  The beds were small but very comfortable, the in room bathroom was modern and clean. The staff were wonderful. Two of the three spoke English and were a great help in calling taxi's and giving general information about the area.  We did not eat the offered breakfast but were free to use the kitchen/dining area for making coffee.  
The hotel was very secure as we needed a key to enter the building and our room.  
There is no real reception area but the hotel is small enough that you have no problem finding staff members. 
The room had a wonderful balcony that gave us direct view of the city square. 
You cannot beat the location for visiting Auschwitz and seeing the city of Oswiecim.  While I took a taxi to the camp, it is a walk-able 2.9 or so miles.  If you do decide to walk, the Sola river walk down the hill behind the hotel is beautiful (and a shorter route). 
Wi-Fi was perfect the entire stay.
I will definitely stay here for my next visit. 

Cons:

There is a bar on the far side of the city square that is open air (under the tents). People congregate there until very late hours.  You can hear them fairly well.  
The main road is often busy day and night so it is not a quiet place.  
I slept great for the most part but light sleepers will not like these rooms. However, if you can get beyond the noise, it is a fantastic little place.

Quaint hotel in the old city center

First of all we didn't knew that Oswiecim was such a nice town. Walking through the centre you don't see anything which refers to the awfull activities of the concentration camps.

From Hotel Pierrot to Auschwitz Stammlager it's about 35 minutes by foot. You will walk through a nice park along the river and then cross it at one of the bridges. From there is about 15 minutes. At the reception they can provide you a map and explain how to walk.

The rooms are nice, the beds okay, the only things is that the street can be quite noisily.
