Mezzanine El Nido Inn

Mezzanine is really a bar/restaurant with 2 rooms attached. The bar & restaurant is just gorgeous!! The room was basic, but clean, comfortable with working AC. We were really happy for our 2 nights there and would have stayed again. The only issue we had was the shower was literally just a dribble.. But the owner said he will be working on this and also renovating the rooms. Would recommend to couples or friends.

We had a great stay!

The rooms aren't great (small and quite damp) and yes, the bathroom is outside and everyone can walk in if they want to but we didn't have any of problems while staying there. 

We only used the room for sleeping and the rest of the day we spent diving or hanging out upstairs in the restaurant (with a great view and good food). 

It's located right in the center which is very convenient.

This is by far the WORST stay I have ever had in my entire life!
They placed me in a smelly room -sewage smell-, with smelly pillows. The room was facing the street with the kitchen on the left, and a generator on the right, not to mention the unbelievable noise coming from the street crowds. Did I mention that the shower barely works?!!

I complained so many times requesting to be transferred to a better room, and was told that there are no rooms, I emailed the owner Adrien who didn't answer immediately, spoke to them at the reception for the second time, and the manager told them she will come at 11AM while I had a sleepless night and am up since 7 AM, and delivered my 3rd complaint since then! After showing the room to the manager she deeply apologized, and since the hotel was fully booked she helped me find a room in another hotel to put an end to my misery.  

I had the intention to extend my stay but no way i could have handled this room for one more night! I was so disappointed, until the owner finally replied to my mail, and i told him that i want a full reimbursement of my money, which he didn't argue about, and the full amount was ready to be picked up on the same day of my check-out.

so my advice to whoever is going there is to clearly know where are you going to stay so you wouldn't spend a night from hell as i did.. 

P.S: though it's centrally located, i so much enjoyed my 1st two nights out of El-Nido center, 10-15 minutes away from it

My room was AWFUL but the owner was decent enough to reimburse my miserable stay

Pros: Located centrally, very clean, attached to the restaurant (that has a spectacular view.) You can walk right on the beach. 

Cons: Bathroom is shared with the public, they do not lock the outside door sometimes, my doorknob was falling off, the lock is a simple push in lock. The street is busy so you will always be bothered with noise. I felt a little unsafe as persons were arguing on the street and the public had access to enter the bathroom at night. I did not receive breakfast, which said it was included.

What a view!

This place is a very sorry excuse for an "inn" The room is small with a small lamp that can barely provide light to the corner of the room. We had to use a flash light to look around. There's one small window that faces a very busy street so it's extremely loud and for some reason the staff or owner thinks it's a great idea to park their loud motorbike right outside your door. There a various bugs in the bathroom and a shower that's hardly that. It'll take you an hour to wash soap off your body with the dribble coming out of the shower. And the bathroom is far from clean. The owner and staff treat you like you aren't even there and the wifi is nonexistent. All in all I would never reccomend this place to anyone and they think they have a gem on there hands...far too overpriced! Also they have mice. My advise is to either concentrate on a restaurant and making an "inn" because it's obvious both can't be done.
