I really enjoyed my stay here, the owner is very friendly and offers the best service. When I was there there was a kind girl who spoke both english and spanish. So communication was no issue. Very clean, small and personal!

Had a short stay here on my way to cusco and was pleasantly surprised with comfort and hospitality of the place. The manager was not in the city but still spoke to me via phone to make sure everything was ok which was very nice of her. 
Superbly situated a short walk from the supermarket and 20 minute walk from the sand dunes and oasis. Great free breakfast also, couldn't ask for anything better. 


Great stay! 

We stayed for one night in this beautifully decorated hostel, with ample space to hang out and relax. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, the wifi was great, and breakfast was delicious. Most of all, our host, Patty, was amazing and made sure all of our needs were accommodated. She knows English very well, if that is helpful to you. We love her and we think everyone who comes to Ica should make sure to stay here!!! It's also a great spot in close distance to Huacachina and the center of Ica.

A beautiful stay in this cozy, friendly hostel!

Solid place owned by a sweet lady - brush up on some Spanish or have someone translate, as she doesn't speak much English. We stayed here to avoid the party scene of Huacachina (20 min by foot), but also didn't want to stay in the slums of Ica (what an uninteresting town; 40 min by foot). This was the perfect mid-way point, being /s.3-5 away from either. It's a quiet place with not much going on, so don't expect too much - breakfast was good, though. My partner thought the rooms smelled funny.

Good Mid-Way Btw Ica and Huacachina

This is a fantastic hostel that does sit right between Hucachina and downtown Ica. The hostel is cozy with good comforters which I appreciated on the cold nights there. Breakfast included eggs, bread, and avocado which the owner cooked up whenever you woke up. She was very considerate and welcoming. On our second night she even made space for two of the guests to pull their car inside the gate. The four bed dorms can be a bit tight when they are full but the furnishings are nice and everything is clean. The common area was cozy and served as a good gathering place. We met a variety of people all of whom were very friendly and ready to share.

The bathrooms have hot water. If you don't know how to use the special shower-head to heat it, just ask the owner. The water was very hot.

Being between Ica and the oasis was perfect. Huacachina is certainly nice but totally touristy and therefore has little to offer in the way of cheap and local food. Ica is not very exciting from a tourist perspective but has good food and some shopping as well as transportation in and out of the city. All in all, it was a great place for us to stay and I would recommend it.
