32 reviewsWe spent 9 days in Excelsior Inn, and they were all good. The room (1483) was big, clean and with a good view over the city (8th floor) Last time en Asuncion, I was in the 5-star part of the hotel (Excelsior *****). The difference between the two places is to me none existing, and room 1483 was actually bigger than the once I have tried with 5 stars. The bathroom was working, but nothing special and a bit old. Apart from different entrances, the hotel is the same, with the same pool, same breakfast, etc... Breakfast in the "Il Pagliaccio" was excellent. We had dinner at the same place one night, and that was NOT good. To be honest... it was horrible and the hotel should be embarrassed to let the guest eat there. The food was cold, steak hard and grey and dessert defrosted in microwave. Avoid Il Pagliaccio
