Safari Village Executive Suites

I wanted a hotel near the beach at reasonable rates so I could splurge on diving. This was the right place to choose 😁 I could hear the waves from my room, the room was pretty, it had a kitchenette so I could prepare meals myself if I chose, and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic (I like good water pressure, it’s a thing lol ). Location was outstanding, right on the Corniche, I could walk down to the beach and go swimming, or I could turn left and have shisha at the beach, or I could turn right along the Corniche and walk maybe a half km and eat at the Waterfront. I could also go to the food truck at the beach by the hotel - Muhannad prepares DELICIOUS mishakik of meat, chicken, or squid, 5 for 1 RO which makes a good meal, especially if you’re on the go. The negative was that the TV did not work; if you traveled to Oman to watch TV, this may be an issue for you - WiFi was fine so I watched YouTube to fall asleep. There is no pool, BUT you walk through the gate at the Grand Hyatt and tell them you’re at Safari Village and use their facilities. The kitchen is open in the morning (very good omelette), but not at night - easy fix. Go to the Grand Hyatt or any of the places I mentioned above. This is not a resort- you will not have people following you around to wait on you, so if that’s what you want, you will have to pay more elsewhere. Distance from the marina to dive is about a 20–minute drive. Either rent a car, download OTaxi before you go, or call Adil at +96899721606 (even when my boat was almost an hour late returning, he waited at the marina for me). Highly recommend this hotel!!! Quite possibly the best deal in Muscat!
