This hotel really provides an elegant, homely & historical atmosphere for your visit in Rjukan and surroundings. Rooms are cosy, common areas magnificent and the terrace and garden great for a relaxing and reflective evening. The charming grand piano is wonderful to play  (tried my best Chopin OP28.4) and the hotel manager is super friendly and helpful in the most relaxing manner.

The number one place to stay for a friendly and historical Rjukan visit.

This is a very cozy small hotel in the small center of Rjukan. The history lies in the walls, with the movie “Kampen om Tungtvannet” in mind. The movie had some scenes from this administration building. The hotel is old, but very nicely kept. You can feel the history that lies here. The rooms are ok but of course old fashion. Very good service at the hotel, and the food was excellent. There are free wifi at the hotel.

Historical small hotel

This is a bed and breakfast hotel that wants to be high end and has high end prices but they have work to do before they get there. The place is pretty and the rooms are quaint but need maintenance and some finishing touches to justify the price. With a little bit of work this could be a very nice high end b&b/hotel but as it is right now you make sure you get it at a good price if you stay here. 

Bring your tools 

We enjoyed a one night sojourn in the Birkeland suite in mid-winter. The staff was very welcoming, and though they could not provide dinner due to lack of other guests we had a very nice breakfast in the vast dining room. Would visit again. Quite expensive for a one-night stay, but we chose one of the best rooms with a view towards Rjukan.

Interesting, classy and welcoming

What an amazing place. Beautiful house, wonderful people and historic surroundings. Well worth a trip to Rjukan, just to visst the Admini. This is the old villa for the CEO of Hydro and his guests. It is opulent and majestic, in rural surroundings.

Beautiful Manson in historie surroundings

This was probably my favorite hotel during my lengthy trip to Norway. It is the former mansion of the chief executive of Norsk Hydro in a beautiful park setting not far from the town center. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, the breakfast was very good, and the service was friendly and impeccable. Also it was reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel in historic landmark and park

This historic building has now been converted into a hotel.  Overall, we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.  Our room was one of the less expensive ones in the adjacent attached building.  It was tastefully decorated, clean and neat.  Since the place was not designed originally as a hotel, there is little to no insulation in the walls between rooms but we did not pick up much noise that caused us any big problems.  The public areas of the hotel were wonderfully preserved from its earlier days.  We spent some time in them drinking some wine and watching TV (there are not TVs in the rooms).  WiFi worked fine.  The breakfast spread was wonderful with lots of variety.  Off street parking is available their lot.
