Not my favorite hotel, but my guide told me it is one of the best in Esteli, so there you go! On the plus side, it was very quiet, had working AC, there is a restaurant downstairs, and the staff are all very nice. It is in walking distance from the city center. On the not so great side...the rooms look out into a hallway, the lights are fluorescent (feels sort of like a hospital), the hot water in the shower does not work, and I ended up being attacked by what I think were bed bugs or some other insect while I was sleeping (at least 30 bites). The room felt clean, but I had bites all over my stomach and legs and torso for days after. My guide was with me and he was fine, so maybe I just got unlucky. I would try to find someplace else if I go to Esteli again, though.

Not my favorite place to stay in Nicaragua

Very clean and comfortable.  The breakfast was good--there is a choice of "American" or "Nicaraguense" dishes.  I needed some help and the staff were very kind and went out of their way.  There is a pretty courtyard, and I felt secure here.

Los Arcos maintains a good standard always, have been here 2 or 3 times throughout the last 4 years and it has always kept its standards. The rooms are spacious, however our A.C. did not work well & there were not enough towels (not sure if this is not included). Hot water works & the offered breakfast is good, well-priced and staff is kind. There’s purified water available for guests which is a plus in any accommodation in Nicaragua. The room we stayed in had a desk, which could be a plus if you need to work. Would recommend for a stay in family

Good standards

My wife and I stayed here as a base from which to visit the Somoto canyon. It’s a very cute, authentic hotel, with a cute, green courtyard, with soft yellow and blue colors all around.

But for being the top hotel in Esteli, I think they can do a bit better. Even in Nicaragua, I don’t think literally no hot or even warm water is not too much too ask, and the bed was a real challenge to sleep in as well. The safe in the room was locked, and the set up of the room was quite odd in terms in the furniture and where they put it all.

Folks at the desk were exceptionally friendly and helpful, calling ahead to restaurants for us during Christmas to check if they were open. Parking is conveniently located across the street, and guarded.

Hotel to visit Somoto canyon

Location is excellent. Hotel Los Arcos is centrally located, not far away from the cathedral, a small park, local shops and a supermarket. Parking is possible opposite of the hotel.

The hotel looks very nice. It has a rooftop terrace with nice views,several patios and several wall-paintings.

There is also a restaurant. It is nicely decorated but a little dark inside. Food is very good.

Staff is friendly and helpful.

Room was big and clean, shower worked well. Wifi in the room was occasionally a little patchy, but worked well for most of the time.

The only downside is that rooms are not sound-proof, so it can be noisy if there is music or groups of people chatting in the common areas of the hotel. 

All in all, had a good stay and would stay here again.



Good stay at Los Arcos

I have been 3 times in this hotel and let me tell you something, it’s always a good stayed. Centrally located, just 1/2 block from the Central Park, restaurants, the fair, etc. Also has security, parking, conference room and their own restaurant. Obviously, for people like me, coming from USA this is a really basic B&B with hot water and AC but I was told that’s the standards for Hotels in Esteli. I also learned this is a collaboration project with some European countries and all the surplus, if any due to the crisis, goes to social programs in the City. Another reason to recommend this hotel. The hotel has couple interior gardens and a lookout on the 3 floor.

Good hotel 

Hotels Los Arcos is a welcoming smaller hotel with secure parking and a great breakfast.  Just off the central square with the cathedral.  Across from La Colonial market.  Front desk is very helpful and on site restaurant has great included breakfasts as well as great dinner options.  
 

Very good spot in Esteli

We just stayed here this week while visiting family in Esteli.
This hotel felt like home for us.  The rooms are small but comfortable and clean.  We like to stay next to the beautiful central garden with the turtles.
The breakfast is included and is one of the best we had the whole trip.  I love the yogurt- best anywhere, including US.
Every one of the staff we encountered from front desk to cleaning to restaurant to security were top notch, super friendly and ready to help with anything.
They have a locked parking lot directly across the street monitored by their security guard.
All of these items are so important to me - and oh by the way, the price we paid was amazing for a hotel with parking.

Lovely hotel in the center of Esteli 

We stayed 2 nights. The rooms were very comfortable and the AC worked very well. When we arrived we asked if we could put some things in a fridge and they a mid sized one right into our room!! We sat out on the rooftop balconey Both nights, the breeze was refreshing.  Breakfast included and one day was ordered off the menu and the other was buffet style. That staff, especially Maria, were very helpful. We were able to email her prior to arriving to set up a tour to Salto Estanzuela, Galeria del Arte el Jalacate and the many beautiful lookouts in the area.  She also organized a mural tour a ride to Somoto.  Much as Gracias Maria. Recommend for sure.

Wonderful Staff

Nice.hotel, rooms are fine and.the.bed is.comfortable.

The breakfast is average. They have good WIFI and have a private parking for cars.

The ac. was okay but.there is not.hot.water working. They.need to.refurbish.a lot.
