Superb accomodation! Would highly recommend to any form of traveller. Clean rooms, comfy beds, exceptional hospitality from the hosts.
Free breakfast is a bonus (standard but filling and a great touch)
Stones throw away from the city centre, supermarket, beach and other amenities.
Will happily stay there again! 

Great Accomodation! 

Very cozy backpacker accommodation, plenty of space in the dorm rooms and very comfortable matresses. Lovely owners, very friendly and helpful! Great location, close to the town center and the beach. The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed and free breakfast was provided. I loved the whole atmosphere in this hostel and can't wait to come back!

Lovely Turtle Accommodation

We’ve camped and really roughed it when we were young but we’re really not the backpacker/shared accommodation type of travellers. However, as a group of 3 adults and only really looking for a clean, decent bed and shower overnight Turtlecove more than exceeded expectations. 
A short walk to the Whitianga CBD, we occupied 3 beds of a 6-bed dorm room with a private bathroom. Including a not really expected breakfast the cost for 2 nights was extremely reasonable. 
Breakfast was served in the communal lounge/kitchen from 7am - bread, jam, cereals and milk. Ample feed to get you started on the day. The communal kitchen was pleasantly abuzz in the evenings with a cross section of ages and cultures. Fridges and utensils were clean and the area generally kept clean and usable by and for all. 
Sleeping arrangements on the double bunks were practical and the whole area including the linen was clean and tidy. Fellow sleepers were mostly considerate. 
The hosts were friendly and able to give local insights and advice. 
Definitely a place we’d stay at again. 

Not a place we’d normally stay at but would use again

Really friendly and clean place to stay, great customer service, very good to deal with. Were very accomodating, we stayed for a surprise birthday weekend for one of the girls. We all enjoyed our stay.

Birthday Weekend

We stay there for Christmas break 5 nights with our kids and their Granny.
The owners are super nice, the place is perfect to chill and meet other travelers. They even offer a nice offer for all the guests in Christmas night. If you add this to the beauty of Coromandel it's amazing!

Exceptional!

:) - I had a great stay in a super spacious and comfortable 6 bed dorm. Plenty of locker storage and an extension lead for charging devices by every bed. Free breakfast was perfect, a good selection of cereals and spreads. The hostel is in a great location, close to a supermarket, the town centre and the beach. Welcoming and friendly hosts and the whole place was really clean at all times. Nice amount of outdoor space for eating and drinking in the warmer weather and all for a fantastic cheap price! 

:( - There is no curtain for privacy to get changed in the female showers, but a minor issue as there are private showers elsewhere in the hostel it just means going outside.

Perfect hostel!

The is an amazing place. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful. The whole place is really clean. The kitchen has all you need as well as with free breakfast.  The beds have thick hotel quality mattress's.

Right size, very cosy, really clean and tidy, good location, free breakfast, free wifi and very friendly and helpful owners! Just what you need! Best backpacker hostel in my 10 day trip. Highly recommended! Thank!

Lovely backpacker hostel

We booked a room for a group of 6. It came with a simple free breakfast which was so nice. The couple that runs the place were so nice and helpful to us in planning our weekend. Clean and does the job of what you need. Short walk from downtown and incredibly cheap. Yay!

Great stay, nice people

The staff at Turtle Cove Backpackers were super helpful and accommodating. The shared kitchen and outdoor space was really well set up and there was a great sense of community there. The location was perfect, with just a short walk to the beach and town centre, as well as the supermarket. We stayed in our own unit at the back of the property, it was very comfortable and cosy with it's own wall heater.
