Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!!!  What a little treasure nestled in Hunua. Incredibly private. The railway cabin is well appointed fir a " small space " but what an amazing experience. We could not fault any attention to detail. Such a treat to get away from the hunger and bubber of our busy lives!!!  Would stay again in a heart beat - thank you team

The property was a little hard to find in the dark but google maps got you right there. When we got there Glen and Mark were so nice and inviting! We got there at approx 9:30 PM after traveling around West Auckland all day after arriving in NZ from the states at 6AM. They were so accommodating with letting us check in later than the check in time. All we wanted to do was go to sleep so we did not get to enjoy much of the amenities. We had a nice cozy room with a shared bathroom. They provided soap and lotion and shampoo. We had a great breakfast made to order by Glen the next morning and I got to feed the black sheep. It is a beautiful and tranquil place to stay just outside of Auckland and the hosts could not be better! I highly recommend this property!! Thank you guys for making us feel so welcome! :)

We stayed here for one night and it was perfect.  Beautiful and peaceful location, with lovely walks close by and easy drive from Auckland.
We stayed in The Railway cabin which was just perfect, so much in such a little space, everything you could think of needing and more.  Don't worry about space we're both tall and had a great nights sleep in the very comfy bed.
We had a delicious BBQ all prepared and delivered by our super friendly hosts and then enjoyed an evening gazing at the stars - the outside bath was a treat!
So much love has been put into the renovation of the cabin and it shows - absolutely recommend! 

Just stayed in the railway cabin, great location on a working farm. The outdoor bath is a must and a great way to relax at night.
The cabin is a little small for 2 people and big bags so we left those in the car and just took in what we needed.
Outdoor seating and personal BBQ is a dream and a must use.
Would definitely stay again

From the initial communication with Glenn (and an offer for a Christmas dinner, because all restaurants were closed), to a very nice cozy room with a comfy bed, to all the great recommendations about places and attractions in the Hunua area (and NZ in general), we had an absolutely amazing experience at Hunua Homestead! Glenn and Mark were such amazing hosts, that we can't thank them enough for starting our NZ experience on a such positive note. This was by far out best B&B experience!
