A bit dated but more than compensated by price, immaculate presentation, facilities, cleanliness and location. Friendly and accommodating hosts. 
In the middle of town and right next to Monteiths bar make it a great location.

Great Place Will Come Again

Old and tired, albeit they were clean.  The rooms have not been updated since they were built 30? years ago.  Reception was friendly and inviting.  Very handy to town and restaurants, but we did not enjoy the stay.  Sorry, cant recommend this hotel.

Old and tired

Stayed one night...a wet raining night at that. Very close to the Monteith's pub- 30 metres or so

The units are vintage 1960 but very clean and well maintained. No complaints at all.

Close to all the village has to offer.

A good one but dated

Called the motel at the last minute after worries about snow coming over the Lewis pass, she was absolutely wonderful and so accommodating to us we really appreciated it. While some motels there boasted “close to town” this place is right next to the main bars/restaurants and the hot pools are so close you can walk there in your togs 

Lovely host, best location in town

Right in the heart of Hanmer this is a great place if you want a great value motel that has all the facilities you need. The rooms are basic but it has a kitchen and all the facilities you will need for your stay. Requested a late check out which was approved and also has ample parking. The mangers were friendly and accommodating and so would recommend this place especially if you have a young family. Only sggestion is that the beds may need an upgrade as they were very soft and there was some roll together issues which for some may be a bonus !!!

Great location and Manger

Quite expensive for a very outdated motel, popcorn ceilings, 60’s style bathroom, a lot of portable heaters.  The location is extremely handy to the town centre and the manager/owner is very polite and nice. 

Hanmer stopover

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit which was very clean and homely. These units are due to be upgraded this year and I'm sure once done will be a very competitive place for accommodation being so close to the Thermal pools across the road and close to the shopping centre and eating places. Plenty of room and a nice front yard to the unit to sit and enjoy the sunshine.   Bathroom is very dated at this stage but adequate for our needs. Functional kitchen with full size fridge. There is a laundry for guests to use. Only downside was no air conditioning but as it wasn't too hot while we were there it wasn't an issue.  Overall great value for money spent and I would recommend for anyone on a budget. Would love to return once the renovations are done.

Good accommodation

We arrived and was greeted by a cleaner was told the owner would be right with us to check us in. 20 minutes later the owner came. We had a 2 bedroom unit it was a great size but that was about it. Shower pressure was terrible the 2nd floor creaked every step and the walls are paper thin. Night number 2 I had to tell the people in the unit next door to be quite 8 times! I made several attempts to contact reception to sort the noises out but they didnt answer the phone or door. The motel is in the perfect location and is due to me updated this year

Wouldnt go again

The owner was lovey and helpful.  Accommodation was very clean and so handy to the pools and the restaurants, walking to all.  But don't expect the Ritz it is early 80s style and needs a make over for sure.  Not sure it was worth the price of what we paid.  Was only one night for us so suited us well.

Close to everything but don't expect luxury

Where do we start!
On arrival we were shown to our two bedroom unit, 5 pm winters cold day all windows open the place was absolutely freezing, dark, and only just cleaned so floors wet still. 
The owner advises the heater takes an hour to heat up!!!!
Bathroom moldy, taps are crap to work and adjust shower temp, walls cracked, wood rotten, we had already paid at arrival.... otherwise would of left.
Noisy Neighbours, we woke second morning to vomit outside our unit door from Neighbours. 
To top it off bites on my feet presuming fleas! 
Thank goodness we only slept there! 
Never to return.
