What an absolute jewel in rural Morocco.... Very authentic and rustic, an excellent and very comfortable stay starting from the moment we arrived. Saïd and his family were very warm and welcoming and provided us with very generous portions of mouthwatering authentic Moroccan cuisine. Their hospitality was second to none, and I would thoroughly recommend staying at their property if you are in this rural part of Morocco. 

Probably the best stay we had in our 2 week vacation. The place itself is like a little Garden Eden, a small paradise in the desert, incredibly well kept. The rooms are generous and tasteful. Speaking of taste, the food there (dinner and breakfast) was mind-blowing: amazingly delicious, fresh and homemade (including the jam for breakfast, for example). We were traveling with 2 small kids (3 and 5) and everyone was endearing and so kind with them (which we realize is not always easy for hosts), we felt truly welcome. If you are in the area and get the chance to stay here, don't think twice!

This family Kashbah home in small rural town is a gem !! Omar the host his family the setting the room breakfast walk among blossoming almond trees exceptional.  If I had known I would have booked 5 days just to do some hikes rest relax.  
The history of this house is fascinating and the structure can be seen from town  and highlights the skyline.  I felt so part of the family and would have enjoyed dinner if I didn’t have other plans. 
A stay and dinner here is must  you won’t be disappointed !

Sadly we just stayed here for one night. It is a very peaceful and friendly place, next to a crumbling Casbah with a serene and tranquil Garden like an Oasis of calm. There is also a interesting Soukh in 10 minute walking distance without any touts and hassle. Great dinner and a warm welcome are included. The rooms are basic but cozy. If you're looking for a flashy luxury experience with walk in shower etc. this might not be the place for you. If you're looking for a place you feel at home it might be a very good place for you.

We were so glad we chose this place. Omar and his brother and sister are amazing people. The place itself is straight out of a fairy tale, with the imposing Kasbah, the beautiful garden full of fruit trees and herbs and the comfi rooms. The food (breakfast and dinner) were simply amazing. They took us to see the picking of the saffron flowers 13 kms away at 7 am and made sure we shall feel comfortable to talk to the pickers and take as many photos as we wished. The atmosphere is relaxing and you feel you really get to experience the true Morocco. Not to be missed.

We spent 2 nights with our kids (5&7) at Escale Rando and everything was perfect, the welcoming, the excellent food (and suprise with the cake) prepared by Omar, and of course the great rando we did with SAid .. We will come back!

This is a rare opportunity to stay in a real kasbah, a place with history built before concrete and tourists. 
Do not expect a modern hotel, this place is much more than that. Come here to experience the feel of sleeping between thick earth walls, the smell of wood fire, the peace of a traditional islamic patio garden. 
But most of all come here for the food. Real moroccan food is only found in homes, and this is a chance to taste what you will not find in any restaurant. 
Don't miss it.

We spent 1 night with Aude and Omar and it was a great experience!  From the start, with the very first email with Aude, I knew I was dealing with genuine and authentic people.  There was no over the top enthusiasm, no oversale, just total honesty about what to expect and I can now attest that everything we were told were spot on.  

We were warmly welcomed and all the ladies who work there were smiling and were just lovely.  The family room we booked was good size, clean with a functional bathroom.  There were many layers of blankets so you could customize based on your personal preference.  We visited in mid April and the weather was in the 70's and sunny and dry during the day and a bit chilly at night.  Each bed had a mosquito net.  We didn't see many bugs, maybe an odd mosquito or fly during the entire time we were there, but as the windows don't have screens (typical of all the p!aces at which we stayed), mosquito nets were certainly welcomed, just in case.

Dinner was ENORMOUS!  My family and I are very good eaters and we couldn't finish!  Our local driver told us that what we had enjoyed was simple home cooking.  This again speaks to the authenticity of the place.  There is absolutely nothing pretentious here!  You truly get a feel for the 'real' Morocco!  

The next day, we had arranged a private hike with Said, Omar's brother, to Tislit Gorge.  We walked across saffron fields were ladies were working the land.  We saw fruit trees with carpets of wildflowers, banks of cacti, and lonely stretches of undulating earth with a goat herd tending his flock.  Then suddenly, the black lava columns of the Tislit Gorge appeared.  This place is gorgeous!!!!  There were palm trees, pools of emerald water, fantastic rock formations, everything I saw in the photos of this place.  There were no other people there besides us.  The place was quite large, and would take at least 20 minutes to walk across, assuming you don't stop to explore anything, which is unlikely since this is such an unusual and beautiful place.  We've travelled all over the world and I have not seen anything like it.  Said said he could do overnight camping tours.  We would love to return someday so we could spend more time here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.  Nothing flashy or luxurious, just really authentic.

Just fantastic place to stay! The owner is great, the food delicious and the accommodation clean and comfortable. Best place we stayed so far! We would definitely come back!! Thank you very much for everything!

I discovered this gem only 2 years ago, and went back several times already. Just five guestrooms set around a delightful courtyard with orange trees, hibiscus and a tortoise, a heaven of silence and peace. All the food is homemade by the family, and Omar makes you feel comfortable and at home.
