The property is a little old as it was established almost a hundred years ago. It is clean however and amenities work as expected, although some electric sockets are falling out of place/loose and some floor buttons on the list don't work. It is centrally located in Fes though and there is 'Central Parc' just opposite the hotel where you can drink Moroccan mint tea or have brunch.

Located in the new town, taxi rank right outside the front door.  Hotel needs updating but relatively clean.

Feb 2019 stay

We didn’t make it due to a missed bus back from Chefchaouen. I emailed the hotel but they never replied. It was probably too late to get our money back anyways.

Facilities are nice and location is ok. I didn't like how the check in was slow and that I was charged extra taxes even though my booking says I've paid all taxes and fees.  Also the staff seem a bit indifferent and impolite.

Lovely hotel and very friendly staff. Ideal location in middle of Fez.

Holes in Sheets, TV didnt work, aircon didnt work, door wouldnt lock,  one glass in bathroom but had great baguettes for breakfast and fantastic lift.    Very close to restaurants but far from Medina.   All fixable but hard to communicate with reception staff.    Said they could do our laundry but then handed back to us with no explanation.   Found laundry in the neighbourhood that was fab.

Very Very average

Room 207 in the Grand Hotel had a comfortable bed, with clean sheets, light blocking curtains and lights at the bed.  Also had a small table with 2 chairs. No TV, but perhaps it would not have an English speaking station anyway. The ensuite was in working order with hot water, although quite unattractive in appearance due to age and partial renovation. The staff were pleasant, and the maid on level 2 was most helpful.

very helpful and nice staff who had helped us to hire a reliable tour guide to the medinaas most of the other hotels in morocco, no hairdryer available

5 Star Service

Grand Hotel was okay. It is nothing like what it is advertised as and quite misleading. The rooms are old, dirty and dull. The door had cracks in it and the lock was not very secure. Bathroom was mucky and old. This hotel is definately not worth the money paid and if I had not paid upfront I would not have paid the amount that I did.

I did tell them I did not like the room so they moved me into a larger room. This was better than the first one but still not worth the money paid. The whole deco and appliances are old and engrained with dirt. If i paid half the price of what I did then it would have been worth it.

However the staff were very lovely and welcoming. They tried to make the stay as confortable as they could. The only downside is that the hotel is in a serious need of an upgrade.
