Our stay at Casa La Palma was great. The hotel is really excellent, especially considering the price. It’s just a few rooms with a small staff of two, but is taken care of well with a great breakfast included on the rooftop terrace. Clean and everything needed is provided. The staff doesn’t speak much English but is still very helpful and everything needed gets done. Also worth nothing that it’s located at nearly the top of the hill of Chefchaouen— not good if you don’t want to walk up and down stairs a lot. Would highly recommend.

Excellent Value Hotel

Rafik treated us like good friends and we were sad to leave. The beautiful terrace where we had our breakfast each day will always be remembered. From the very central Casa La Palma you can explore this elegant medieval city with ease. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated. At night you can survey the entire scene from your high perch within the Medina walls.

Finding a home in Chefchaouen

This place was charming and very tranquil — done up in a traditional Moroccan style in a lovely part of the old city.  The breakfast was very good and can be eaten on the roof with a fantastic view of pretty much the entirety of Chefchaouen and the surrounding valleys.   The staff at this hotel is quite possibly the nicest I've had anywhere.  Apart from carrying my heavy bags from the city gate (which, fair warning, is a bit of a walk up and down several stairs - as is everything in this city) to the hotel (then back when I checked out), the desk clerk arranged for a car to take me about an hour and a half away to see the shrine of Sidi Abdesselam.  Beyond that, he took me personally downtown to a tailor shop so I could get some pants tailored — something above and beyond anything that could conceivably be in his job description.  And he did everything with a smile on his face and without ever making me feel like I was inconveniencing him.  The only thing to be aware of is that Chefchaouen is built along a giant hill, and this hotel is pretty close to the top of it - so be ready to do a bit of walking going to and from the main parts of the city which are mostly down the hill.  On the plus side, the location is really much more in an authentically old neighborhood of town rather than an area where you're likely to mostly run into tourists (or people trying to sell you things...) -it feels alive and real, which is nice.  This hotel is an excellent choice!

Some of the Best Service Anywhere

This week we held a small event in the private room at Casa La Palma. The staff was so helpful, warm, and made everyone feel welcome and special. Huge shout out to James the bartender who made the best cocktails! And also Karen the Events manager who took care of our every need. Thank you! And then there’s the space! My goodness- it’s beautiful and chic all the way! Thanks again for helping us host such a classy event!

Outstanding staff and beautiful space!

We were warmly greeted by the owner and his helper up at the car park, which was so helpful as we had lots of luggage that would have been challenging to carry.  It was only a 5 minute all-downhill walk from the parking area.  

The B&B is very nice. All 3 rooms that we reserved for our 2 night stay were spotless and clean.  Nice en suite bathrooms.  The beds were very comfortable.  We enjoyed the rooftop sitting area.  Breakfast was quite nice as well.  The owner helped us reserve a table at Cafe Sophia, which we liked very much.  We also appreciated his early morning assistance with our baggage on departure day.  Only minor issue was his credit card machine didn’t work that morning, but we were lucky to have enough cash on hand to cover.   

Very Nice Bed & Breakfast 

We had a very nice stay at Casa La Palma. The hosts there are very warm and friendly. The rooms are nice and spacious. Breakfast was very nice, included eggs, bread basket coffee, tea, orange juice etc and provided on the roof. The hotel itself is towards the top of Chefchaouen Medina. So you have to climb a fair number of stairs to get to it. Our taxi driver dropped us on top of the hill and the hotel hosts came up and got our luggage down to the hotel. They also brought the luggage back up when we left the next day.

Nice friendly place to stay

Rafik and all other staff were just perfect. They were helpful and caring. Every day they tried to make our stay as easy and comfortable as possible. We had to leave at 6:00 am to catch a CTM bus to Casablanca and Rafik prepared breakfast for us to take away.

Our room on the third floor was spacious and had a lot of sunshine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Amazing!

We stayed here for 3 nights. Upon arrival, Rafik and his staff were very helpful. Our room was on the first floor with a view to the walking strip. It was clean with plenty of space to place your bags and open your luggage. The bathroom is large, very clean and functional. However, if you leave the plug of the sink and shower holes, there is a bit of a smell that comes out, and as such you have to keep the window open to air out the bad smell. This smell was NOT enough to ruin our experience at Casa La Palma. This hotel has a lovely rooftop terrace where breakfast is served. These are the best views of the whole town!

On a side note, Rafik was very helpful in contacting us before arriving to Chefchaouen, explaining to us that upon arrival to town that we should take a taxi to the Medina, but give him a call and hand the phone to the taxi driver. Essentially, he is telling the taxi driver to drive to the top of the Medina, as this is where the Hotel is located. Otherwise all taxis will drop you off at the bottom where you will have no option that to walk up MANY, MANY stairs with your luggage. IT IS HARD WORK!

Fantastic but beware of the stairs!

Rafik is a great person. I was sick with food poisoning and had to stay an extra night in Chefchaouen and he helped me out so much. The place was well located and very comfortable, but what made it special was definitely the people.
