Don’t expect luxury, but it is an affordable place with great service. Remember to ask for towels and umbrella. There’s a floating bar and cable car, plus horses and a jacuzzi. The food is good, and it is not crowded so you’ll have a quiet and fun experience.

Great value for money Hidden Paradise

I was fortunate enough to be invited to visit this incredible hotel. Located about 15-20 minutes outside of Iguala, one would never imagine that this treasure exists, until the winding roads cease and the beautiful panoramic lake unfolds from the grand arches of the hotel entrance. It is constructed in an open architectural plan, which both takes advantage of the gentle breezes playing over the lake, and the 360 degree view of gentle hills surrounding this lovely lake valley.
The rooms are constructed to all face the lake, and are ample in size and comfortable. There is a bar in the hotel, as well as a wonderful floating bar on the lake, which is an incredible place to enjoy a drink as the setting sun turns the water golden around you.
The hotel has both a pool and a jacuzzi, but the lake itself is swimmable as well.
The staff is fantastic and attentive. All the rooms are stocked with bottles of water and the usual amenities such as soaps and lotions.
I had an excellent breakfast; one of the best chilaquiles verdes con pollo that I have had in Guerrero.
This is a great nature setting; there are pelicans, egrets and herons decorating the lake, and quaint fishermen in little boats casting their reels at dawn.
It was a lovely place to wake up, and watch the rose-colored dawn touching the edges of the hills and coloring the ripples in the lake.
I am looking forward to visiting again, this time with a camera.
I think it is a great romantic get-away, as well as a terrific place for a group of friends or a place to throw an event. No one will be disappointed!
