This hotel is close to almost everything you want or need in Cabo. Hotel restaurant is amazing. Pool area and garden very nice. Staff here are very helpful and friendly. Everything is super clean and orderly. Private parking for the car. Beds are comfortable, didn't seem like they would be when I first saw them but after sleep on them all good. Needs to have English television access in the rooms, I could only find one. Needs password protected wi fi. The do have wi fi but anyone anywhere has access. I will definitely be back too stay at Cortez..

Great stay at Del Mar Cortez

We were heading to Cabo for a wedding at a huge resort outside the Cabo area and decided to stay few nights before here.  What a great find at a reasonable price which included breakfast.   This place is very clean and you can tell it’s dated but that adds to the flavor of the resort.   The pool area was awesome and room enough for everyone staying.  Breakfast was plentiful  and delicious.  This place is also centrally located so shopping and bar hopping are right outside the grounds.  We will definitely be coming back.

Best Cabo find ever

This is a old school Mexican Hotel. Location is right in the heart of Cabo. Walk in off the street and the hotel justs opens up and has the whole city block. Wonderful staff and a wonderful daily breakfast included in the nightly rate.

Quaint downtown Hotel.

Horrible motel bed hard as a rock bathroom was horrible had a sign if they clean and anything is missing not liable  no closet don’t waste your money unless your really broke all that looks nice and had beautiful flowers is the outside

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. I love it here. The staff are incredible and super accommodating.  Yes, there are no TVs or phones in the room, but come on, you're on vacation. If you need a TV use your iPad etc. It is in  a great location and within walking distance to everywhere.

WONDERFUL

We have stayed at the Mar de Cortez for several years now. I make our reservations thru Nat who is absolutely amazing. Nat is always eager to help and make whatever accommodations and changes we request. Everyone at the hotel is very kind, polite and beyond helpful. The food is super good! And who doesn't love free breakfast! We especially love the location of the hotel. Literally within walking distance of everything you need. There is an amazing fruit stand nearby that made us fresh squeezed grapefruit juice! The Marina is only a few blocks away. Restaurants and shops everywhere. Another thing we especially love about this hotel is the cleanliness of the rooms and the entire property!! Definitely our favorite place to stay in Cabo!!

Fantastic!!

I have stayed here for the last 35 years and have never been disappointed.  My last stay in March of 2021 was no exception.  The hotel  manager even set up and took us to Urgent Care to get our departure Covid tests.  She even covered the cab to the test site! This is another example of how the staff go over and above.

One thing I love about this hotel is the location.  It is two blocks to the Marina.  There are probably 30 restaurants within 2 blocks each way from the hotel.  The restaurant and bar serve great food and drinks.  The hotel and pool area are kept very clean.

I Love this Hotel

Enjoyed our stay! Staff were very accommodating, overall a very clean hotel. Food was amazing, great free breakfast every day. We met some really wonderful people! Will definitely be back! Our room was nice, our beds were very, very, very hard, bathroom in our unit was not updated and water smelled nauseating in the sink only. Will definitely ask for another room next time. We loved that the hotel is walking distance from fantastic restaurants and the Marina, a great location!

Very very nice place

Mom wanted a quick getaway to Cabo (first time) before moving permanently overseas. So I looked online a night before our flight for an affordable hotel near everything and found this little gem. A few blocks away from the marina and in the middle of town, near all the restaurants and shops, this little hotel was a pleasant surprise. We arrived and were assigned a room facing the pool. However the TV satellite reception was inoperative, so we advised the front desk and we were quickly relocated to a nicer room with garden and pool view. AC works very well but weather was cool so we didn’t need it. Clean room with basic amenities. The rooms all have a balcony facing either pool or garden. Every morning the staff gently tends the wonderful garden. Near our balcony was the only cactus in the property, adorned with cute Christmas lights and we fell in love with it. The restaurant serves delicious food with great prices and a very courteous staff. If you are looking for an affordable option and be located right in the middle of town, this is definitely the place to be!

Quick trip to Cabo with mom

We were impressed with the attention to keeping this facility clean. I was up early each morning and watched the meticulous way they cleaned before every was up and moving.  My reservations were made last year and a year later we had exactly what we had requested. Martha was wonderful at check in and the bell staff took really good care of us. It's a great location.
