Cozy warm and rustic vibes, the staff were kind and service was all around good and efficient.

AMAZING water pressure in the shower :'D I haven't had such an amazing shower in a loooong time. 

Yummy food (even if options are limited).

I would definitely come back.

Cozy and Accesible

I went to Atlixco for a family wedding.  About 85% of the hotel was occupied by the wedding party.  Let me just make a list of the positive aspects first:

1.  Nice garden/grounds.
2. Good, fairly priced buffet breakfast.
3. Room attendants were diligent and unfailingly polite.

Now for the negative:

1.  Uncomfortable, old mattresses.
2.  Dark, crowded restrooms.
3.  No mosquito protection for the windows, so, even though the room was boiling hot, I couldn't open a window because I'd be attacked by the huge mosquito population around.
4.  Found 4 spiders (3 of them rather large) in my room.
5.  Service at restaurant/bar was excruciatingly slow.
6.  Paid $120 US per night for a single room with the quality of a roadside motel.
7.  Terrible wifi.

Will not be back.

Old, overpriced and uncomfortable

No information given about the amenities offered when checking in. The place is overpriced for what’s offered. The bed is extremely uncomfortable. It’s probably better to sleep on the floor. The heater that is offered in the room is a joke. If you are planning on staying I would not recommend it.

No worth the price

On our roadtrip through Mexico we stayed at La Aldea. Really nice, quiet garden and the perfect pool for the kids to swim while being in the restaurant right beside having some drinks. Atlixco, although quite big all-over has a nice Zocalo and Puebla is right around the corner. It was the perfect relax for us with the family while still being able to explore Puebla and Atlixco. Great first stop after having visited Mexico City! Don´t forget you are still in the heart of Mexico. 

You´d better speak 3 words of Spanish and be prepared that some things are different  from home.

Green oasis outside Puebla

I recently stayed at this hotel in March. Its a horrible hotel. The little play ground for the kids is unmaintained. There is no phone in the room to call for room service, so you have to walk all the way to the lobby to ask for something. The towels in my room were dirty and stained. The TV wasn't working until i found someone to come to fix it. Also the internet in my room wasn't working. My first night there was just horrible. I went to the lobby at least 3 times to complain about something. Also i went to the spa. Didn't like the massage at all. Also a spider bit me while i was there. Had to go to the doctor to check it out once i left the hotel. DON'T STAY HERE!!!!

Overpriced!!!DIRTY!!!!

The garden area is nice and the rooms are alright. Had to fight to get hot water in the rather drab bathroom. Playground equipment could be fixed up -- some of it seems a bit dangerous for small children. The pool seems nice but access seems to be limited. The staff seemed pretty disinterested and all of the food/drinks seem pricey. 

Noise from neighbouring rooms is a big problem -- we could clearly hear the conversations of the people in the room above us at 3am. 

Bottom line: This hotel is too expensive for what it offers. Cut the price in half and it would be fine.
