Never since the worst resort so far I stay No maintenance and wood rotten, night unable to sleep because the mosquito fly in from rotten wood holes, lizard walk in and out to eat insects from toilet. No single table in resort and dirty,

We arrive and are picked up at the jetty and check in process was smooth but the room we got is below our expectations. It's a chalet type of room and there's no t.v. but we thought it'd be a nice family getaway to be surrounded by nature on an island but it gets a bit boring with no t.v. when night fall. Food served are average and the proportions of bbq is too much and only cordial is available no fresh fruit juices ( it'd be nice if they serve it though ). We do have good night sleep since it is so quiet at night. Waters are blue but not suitable for swimming with sharp rocks and dead corals at the beach and seabed. We just sit to watch sunset at this chalet's beach and go back for dinner and sleep. Snorkeling trips is good with nice view of sea creatures but that's the only nice thing. The beaches nearby are polluted with garbages as usual sadly. Hopes they look on this matter in every beaches around Malaysia. We haven't got a chance to explore more of this island so maybe we might come back. :) Chalet rooms and restaurant need to be cleaner ( saw their bbq pit and have no choice other than eat what is served since it's been paid ) and surroundings area oh my the water that flow down the beach from the small stream under one of nearby hotel/resort/chalet is so dirty, full of garbages and seems like toxic and imagine it flows to the sea. Who's responsible for that?! Government and owner of this property take this seriously as it really is bad for the environment seriously.

Need more upgrades.

1. the room was more like a hut, no heater, no table, no cup.. just bed. so dont ever plan to iron ur clothes or tudung (for muslim women) in the room cuz there is no way u can do that. oh yeah water supply was cut for few hours too.

2. there is no hammock, beach chair or whatever nearby for Damai Resort customer.

3. The cafe didnt provide drink/meal other than their scheduled meal time (breakfast, lunch,dinner) so dont expect them to give u even water

4. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner with limited choice of food. Drink is limited too. No hot drink provided. You cant decide how much sugar you want in your drink, cuz they mixed it for you. Basically I think their motto is "Just eat/drink what we made for you". To make it even worst, they dont provide plain water AT ALL. 

5. For the so called "snorkeling", we were told they will take us to 3 different islands. No briefing were provided to us. They made us waited almost an hour cuz of one family who just arrived to their resort who want to join our snorkeling (this is already killing our mood)

5. Since no one brief us about the snorkeling, we had high hope to snorkel to see beautiful fishes n coral... BUT IT S NOT... 1st they took us to snorkel at Marine Park, the place was so dirty! it was the worst marine park Ive been so far with nothing to see, its more like for us to enjoy the water in swimming pool. 2nd they took us for Shopping at duty free shop that is not that cheap.. yeah I know WTH.. we wanna enjoy the coral + fishes, not shopping for God sake! and 3rd place they took us  to a place that is so whatever.. really less fish and only dead coral *sigh..

6. Since we cant stand the place anymore, we plan to leave early on our 3rd day, we took the first ferry that arrived to pick us up at 8am, we didnt make it to eat anything for breakfast because it was rushing, they said first ferry at 9am. anyway, to get it even worst.. after halfway the ferry turned back without inform us or anyone onboard.. when the passengers start to notice and ask the ferry crew they simply said they received order from management to take more people. we ended up spent like 2 hours++ in the ferry.

unbelievable-horrible

A simple place to stay. Rooms are clean but buildings not quite well maintained. Dive centre was good with all necessary info provided. Beaches are clean and food shops nearby. Limited cellular network & data coverage around this area so recommended to use Celcom network coverage as your roaming preferences.

Diving experiences

The toilet drainage was blocked, there was not even toilet paper provided, the owners don't have any drinks or food to offer you at the "restaurant", there is nothing to do at Genting area, the owners provided us a "snorkelling" tour for 90 ringgints in which the boat driver brought us to do shopping to a duty free store and to do snorkelling to a dirty beach...
