The place and lake are stunning. It was in the water with a lot of activities to do in the resort, right from water park, to ecopark (birds), kayak, cycles and ride to Orang Utan island. All in the all a great place to stay. 
My only concern was the food. They have only one restaurant that serves just malay food and nowhere else to go. They have no veg food and even breakfast was a sad affair. It was extremely crowded with people taking away the whole basket and no one refilling it. Had to wait in line for 20 mins, 2 times to just get 2 pieces of bread. There was nothing else vegetarian, so bread was the only possible food to eat.

The hotel located nicely above the lake. It feels quiet and calm in our room. The breakfast was nice and the hotel staff is also very friendly, and the provide a free wifi in the room.

But in contrary, The hotel located in the almost-dead theme park. eco park and waterpark looks not promising, thus we're not bother to get in. The hotel also located in the deserted area, if you dont have any own transportation, then will be hard to find something to eat(unless you plan to order from the hotel). The hotel also lack of facility area, such as gym or swimming pool, well it has swimming pool but very standard one. But anyway we were pleased with our Kampung air hotel room

View from balcony is awesome.  It feels like u r on a cruise ship...v close to nature stay. Expect insects. .lizards...flys and ants....but overall clean and staffs r v friendly and helpful.  Served bf to ur room.

Came here for an anniversary break and to visit the Orang Utan Island nearby.  The chalets are a bit expensive but very nice inside with a large bathroom (with big bathtub), soft white sheets and a balcony overlooking the lake.  You can opt to take breakfast in your room instead of the restaurant at no extra cost, which we did.  Breakfast overlooking the lake in the morning is my kind of relaxation.
The resort restaurant Le Lac was deserted when we were there for dinner (it was over CNY) but the resort was crowded with day trippers through the day.  The buffet in Le Lac was very good and was different on the two nights we stayed.  You can also get Char Kuay Teow made to order on the patio outside the restaurant.
There is a boat trip out to the Orang Utan island - 36RM for the boat inclusive of entry into the island.  The OAs were obliging and the younger ones were playing around in the treetops.  Humans are in a caged walk whilst the animals roam free on the island, though the young ones are separate from the "King" and larger males who can get aggressive.  Two cute female babies in the nursery playing with each other - very gentle creatures.
Check out the ECO park, waterpark and skycycle near the chalets.
Only 3 hrs 58 minutes from KL by NSE, but at CNY it was nine and a half hours to return in a 250km tailback!

Room : we took an excutive suite, so we were provided with a small size living room. The interior design suits traditional theme. The sofa was a bit dirty.

Bathroom : Very spacious. The bathtub was big and lokked like a jacuzzi. In fact they also separate the shower, toilet as well as the bathtub. For me it was really conducive. I love it indeed.

Balcony : we had a great view of the lake. They also provided  a dining table where we could enjoy the scenery while eating.

Staff : they served us like a king. They really took a good care of our staying there. For me, this will be the main attraction for the visitors to stay here other than the great view.

Parking Area : you will be quite surprised by the distance. The suite is quite far from the parking lot. If I'm not mistaken, the distance is almost 1KM. But, you guys don't have to worry because they provide a buggy to transport you from the suite to the parking lot. The most important thing, they will serve you 24/7.

Food : we got free breakfast. They also gave us option to have breakfast in our room instead of going to the cafe. The foods were delicious and we were shocked to see the amount of the food. We were extremely satisfied with the quality and quantity. It made us smiled all day.

Beautiful lake but not much food.

A bit 1950s Butlins, but the chalets are very good

A great view with high quality services

Laketown resort and Kamping Air are situated in a decaying Theme park, the animals in the ecopark are almost extinct and the slides in the waterpark are mostly in maintenance. In the evening you get the feeling of a deserted town from a Western mobiel. 

Luckily the Cook in the only restaurant still knows how to cook a decent Dish.
