I feel grateful and thankful to stay at here as similar price as dorm . The 1st night I stay at the dorm in town. The dorm have 6 ppl stay, was so noisy and leg smelly. The phone all the time are disturbing me while I'm sleeping. The next day I changed to stay at Just Duvet Guesthouse. This guesthouse have a nicely kitchen with fully kitchenware(and also cooking oil, salt, sugar) . So I can go market to buy some seafood to cook. They also provide instant coffee and tea. So I decided to extend few more night here. They aslo provide big TV with Netflix channel in the living floor. I so enjoy the moment like it. 

Cheaper price and private room to stay here. Better than taking dorm. 

When we arrived the place was locked and there was nobody to open the door. We had to call somebody to let us in. Then we got our room, but he told us we would be moved to another room the next day because someone else booked the room we were in. Hello, that was our booking?? But okay. 

The entire time that we were staying, they were building or renovating inside/beside the guesthouse. The noise was so loud. We wanted to sleep in for one day, but we couldn’t sleep through the noise. I was so angry. Because of the building, the water was cut off for one day but nobody let us know. So we wanted to use the bathroom, but we couldn’t for a full day. This also made me very angry.

Overall the facilities are okay. Bed and bathroom work, it’s just not that cozy. The pool is filled with water, but it’s so dirty. I wouldn’t go in there. 

If they had told us from the beginning about the building noises, I wouldn’t have booked here.

Very bad communication

Nice basic rooms and good bathrooms. An amazing location right in the centre of Georgetown. The floors were very dusty in the rooms though and we found the owners to be not too friendly. We had stayed there for 6 days and when I came back at around 11:30 at night the owner was also coming back (lady).  When I was about to walk to the bathroom began to whether I was a guest there. I couldn’t believe it as we’d seen and said hello to her multiple times that visit and she had given us directions to Penang hill earlier that day! 

Good location, not hugely friendly 

checked in here for a few days with my boyfriend as we are traveling south east Asia, I love the fact this it is not too crowded and the staff are mostly friendly not very helpful as they cannot communicate well in English I guess.

Like it!

- located at the small alley besides a drinking bar.
The drinking bar is totally fullhouse at night.
So dangerous for the women if travelling alone.
- the toilet is just one for both gender.
- wifi is too damn slow
- the pool can't be used.

Doesnt deserve even one star

Since i only travel by bus during my visit to Penang, i think this place is suitable for those who travel with friends using public transport only. it is because the place is near the drink bar and the alley is so small so it is hard to find parking.

Nice but not so

When I was close by a old man instantly showed me the way without even asking more than 'just duvet?'. I then was welcomed and shown around super friendly. The room was clean and big what I really enjoyed. I had the family room and the attached balcony (used by others as well) had a really charming view (see picture)
