We greatly liked the ambiance and the comfort. The staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. Amazing and a very professional Manager Mr Freddrick arranging the on-site massage (excellent!) was hugely appreciated. The food is good, the facilities are nice and the overall property very very well put together. It's a dive back in the past, classic and classy!
We enjoyed the swimming pool, too. We will definitely come .

If you want a homely feeling surrounded with flowery trees, quiet & serene place, professional staff, delicious food....this is the place to be. The manager Mr Faustine, very professional is ready to assist should one have queries. Thank you ACK Guest Hse for my birthday cake (on 20th Dec) and for making my stay memorable. I highly recommend this place....I'll definitely be back....shukran and God Bless.

Home away from home

I was pleasantly surprised to find this awesome place tucked away near Likoni Ferry. A Very gracious welcome at the reception, spacious comfortable room with fan ;large and inviting swimming pool with a life guard available; some space to walk around; fresh meals made on order. It was surprisingly quiet despite being so near a very busy area.
Downside: the dining area overlooking the pool should be spruced up; consider shower gels rather than soap because of the salty water.

Pleasantly surprised

While we have been traveling to Kenya to close to 20 years, this was our first time in Mombasa. Just as a quick point of perspective my wife and I are missionaries and have been too many cities and towns in the African continent. We have had the opportunity of staying in many places from homes to hotels here in Africa. This means that our level of expectations are not that high and certainly nowhere close to a USA standard and that is perfectly fine. For as the old saying goes, “When in Rome…” .
We were recommended to the ACK Guest House by a regional Bishop in Mombasa. She advised us that this is the place they recommend to all their visiting ministers. Of course I did just like you are doing right now, go to “Trip Advisor”. The pictures I saw, and reviews I read gave me some assurance and comfort  that this place appears to be good.
I would like to say that my overall  of ACK Guest House is “Excellent” for the following reasons:
Our total stay was 14 days and found that the level of service from all the staff was consistently showing concern for our comfort and well being. Especially, Ms. Purity one of the hotel restaurant  staff workers.  She really took us as her personal guest, for she managed no matter how busy the restaurant was as soon as she saw us. She would make her way to find out how we have been and what we would like. We told the manager of the hotel, “Whatever you do, don’t lose Purity! She needs a rise!” Purity thank you for all you did for us in our time there.
The hotel restaurant serves all three meals(breakfast, lunch, dinner) including tea time(Kenyan culture dictates anytime is “tea time”). All meals are prepared well and served in a short time(this means that if you got your meal under 30 min in Kenya this is marvelous).  If you don’t see what you want on the menu, just ask and they will do all they can to accommodate your request.
The room itself was great, very clean, and spacious. Bed was firm and plenty of hot water for bathing. Despite the busyness of the area and this is due to a commuter ferry(runs 24/7) less than 1k away it is very quite overall.   
If we ever return to Mombasa we would stay here again.

Why Are They Considered The Best In the Area?

The best place to stay while in Mombasa,we enjoyed our visit and we plan to come again,the rooms are well maintained.the food was delicious,excellent and Proffessional customer service. We really appreciate your hospitality and God willing we will come again.
